Would you mind PM'ing the meaning of what I said then ? I just got off the phone with my mother, and forgot the meaning of what she told me I should say for people to think I'm cool :( . She's afraid if I don't meet a wealthy woman online by feigning intellect, I'll never stop calling asking for money.

If my girlfriend wasn't asleep on the couch right now, she'd be bragging about the degree of my viagra-militude!
To be honest with you, I'll have to check the mini-calender in my pocket protecter to give you an accurate response to your query.

I'm having probs on this site now. It's hesitating, and not refreshing easily..
Also my apologies to Lizard for threadjacking, it was rude of me.

My mother used to harmonize to EVERYTHING...... even if she was singin' to herself in the kitchen while doin dishes.... she'd be singin' the harmony line of somethin.... I always thought she WAY off key, cuz that is NOT what that song sounds like...
it wasn't untill I was about 14 or 15 that I even realized what harmony was.... I never noticed the trios and quartets at church were singin' different notes untill then! I kinda wanted to learn how, but I thought I'd never be able to figure it out so I didn't try...
BUT! When I came to this site a little over a year ago...... talking with lots of you smart people (got lots of help from ml_texas, Debauchery, and Seby!) and having to learn harmony parts in duets..... I'm really starting to learn! When I'm at work, I have the radio on, and I ALWAYS listen to the backup vocals and try to sing with them.... and I AM hearing harmonies in my head now when I sing! It's flippin exciting!! I think in a year or so, I'll be able to do it without thinkin!
I remember one time..... in my church youth choir.... I was one of the older kids in the back..... and there were little bitty 3 yr olds at the front... and ONE teeeny tiny little 3 yr old was HARMONIZING!! This was just about the time that I'd discovered it. My jaw was draggin' on the floor.... it was incredible!

Can't harmonize at all. I even have trouble singing duets... so to say the least if I had to harmonize to save my life, I would be dead...plain and simple...
Those of you who can harmonize....Way to go!!!

You're your own worst critic. You do pretty darn well with duets...and the Metallica "group effort" a while back was a sight to behold!! :D

I also have natural harmonic nature. However, mine is more on the high side. My friend who is a professional musician and plays in a couple of band has lower voice so he and I harmonize on songs during karaoke and have fun doing it. Of course, my voice is no where near his but we sound decent. Couple of weeks ago, we tried Sweet Home Alabama and I sang the high harmony and he sang the melody and came out pretty good.

I'm not sure if that was a talent or an oddity?? Probably both, So I guess we are still on topic, for now....

My memory? I'd call it an oddity AND a talent. There are some things I WISH I could forget!!
