Figure I might as well drop a line and get the whole introduction out of the way - My name is J and I'm a bar manager who also happens to be a kj in good old Lancaster, PA.  I currently only do about 4 shows a month but hope to increase that, add some dj'ing and live band recording while ever slowly letting go of my reigns at the 'real' job.  As if running a bar/ restaurant is considered a 'real' job.  Anyway, I started out about a year or so back with a cavs 202 system and have since graduated to much better equipment.. hehe - currently run my show with an emachines 1610 laptop with 200 gig external storage, CompuHost software, a Eurorack 1204 (yeah, I've read most people booing Behringer, but it's worked great for 2 years as a small mixer), Mackie 808m,  M-Audio Firewire Solo (for sound output to my mixer) - and I've managed to squeeze all of this (except for the mackie) into a generic electric guitar case slightly modified..  Setup for a show has never been simpler.  Well, like I was saying, just dropping a line of introduction..

Don't worry about any of the prior discussions you've seen on here about equipment- everyone just agrees to disagree a bit sometimes. Sounds like you have some nice stuff that works well for you, so that's great.
