When I first started ripping cdg's to backup I think cavs was the only one around So I put out $150 for the encoder decoder and player.. I actually ripped 300-400 cds and in the mcg format backed up something like 100 songs on one cd.. They never did have dual screen capabilities so I drifted over to winamp when they started getting plugins.  Bought S&D used it for awhile and was actually using a second winamp with a manual fader for fill.  About that time I tried MTU but I was so broke buying music at that time I couldnt afford it and I really liked it... I have tried PCDJ its more for the dj...Awhile back I tried comuhost and really like it but its something like 180 bucks..  Been using Roxbox for 6 mos or so waiting for him to come out with Kjamp... On the S&d forum his new player is availible for download on a trial basis I havnt done it yet..But the bottom line is I have spent hundreds of dollars on software and still having to compensate to do the things I want...

The KMA that you are seeing broke down in the TEMP Folder is a Karaoke ZIP that has a KMA Header.

With these type of KMA files, all that is needed to convert the KMA back to ZIP is to RENAME the .KMA extension to .ZIP.

The ZIP will contain the same two ORIGINAL files...the CDG and MP3.

If you try to rename a KMA file that was NOT created from a ZIP, you will see, very quickly, that the renamed ZIP is not recognizable by any Unzipping Program.

Now, what LONMAN saw was the actual breaking down of a KMA file that WAS NOT created from either a Karaoke ZIP or MP3+G Pair of files.

The Two files are "auout.cdg" and an "auout.dat"

If you rename the .DAT to .WMA, to get auout.WMA, you will have TWO mating Karaoke files that Karaoke Builder CD+G Player will PLAY, even though the AUDIO part of the mating PAIR is a Windows Media Audio (WMA) File.

Further, if you convert the WMA file to an MP3 file, you will end up with the well known MP3+G, which can be Zipped if so desired.
