Let me run this thru my multilingual translator.  I can tell you as a matter of fact, that touching one of those little glowing thingies can burn the (@$%&#!) out've your fingers !   LOL

Sorry, I tried reading Weber's amp mod's for dummies, and as soon as I saw terms such as screwdriver, and soldering iron,  I returned the book...

All things considered, same efficiency in speaker match....To double sound output of 50 watts, isn't the relationship exponential ?    Doubling 50 watt's of perceived sound volume would require a 500 watt amp ?     To double volume wattage must increase 10X ?

100 watts is twice as loud as 10 watts ?    or am I confusing volts..LOL..  If this is too far over my head, I'm going back to the discussion thread and "venting"...

Thanks Lonman,  I'm still trying to read a little bit each day about audio principles ...Trying to grasp some of the principles of amplifier technology isn't quite so easy for a person that has no prior electronics knowledge..Sure. I learned and studied equipment specs growing up..that's simple..  Yet basics such as "How does an amp work"...never got into any of that, the mechanics aren't quite so easy to understand for me...

Correct.

Yea it is hard to imagine but it takes 3 bells to double the sound of 1 bell.. A decibel is a tenth of a bell... So it takes a ten db  increase or 10 times the wattage to double the volume...

Karyoker, I never knew that the term decibel was a derivation of the word "bell". It makes sense of course that it is, yet I never learned that... Thanks.
