I should have known the hotdog bun thing would get your attention, hee hee.
Speaking in the language of Allstar - okay pretend your interested in what she is saying - you'll get in her pants faster.
Oh men you'll never change

Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT take her to a movie. That is the worst place to take a girl on an initial date. You said she like music and she likes to dance, see if you can find a nice dinner spot that also has a piano player. Most of those also have a small dance floor and they are quiet.
You will have plenty of quiet time to get to know each other better and you can enjoy the music and the dancing that broiught you both together without having to worry about an ex walking in or a bar fight or whatever.....
Just you two in your own universe.
Hope this helps you... I can't wait to hear how it goes!!!

I used to just sneak her into my room at the YMCA, where there was only one thing to sit on... The bed... I'd than procede at fake a stiff neck.....and you know the rest.... The police show up the following day with her father who's about half your age...etc
Quote: see if you can find a nice dinner spot that also has a piano player.
Just be sure the pianist is female... Alot of horrible things can happen otherwise. Closing time the three of you go back to your place.

Good lord, you guys, he's just trying to ask a question about a date for crise sake.
Let's rip him a new a$$ for it why don't we?
(sorry Keith, not 'talking for you' again......... this is just a bunch of bull that people can be such crab a$$e$ for no reason)
Quote: Here's a good old fashioned typical way. Why don't you take her to a bar, get drunk, pick a fight, drive home drunk, beat the crap out of her,
I think THAT is just a bit uncalled for. Get a grip Tony. :nana: Call me a biotch if you want, but you're pickin' fights all over the dang board, and nobody is asking for it.

I wouldn't complain if I were you. My type seems to be the short, bald, overly round, old guy because that is all that hit on me. I guess I would have better luck if I wasn't hanging out at retirement homes....

That's a tad extreme in terms of helping an online friend prepare for a first date.., What practical purpose does it serve ? He doesn't even know if he really likes her yet. Now somewhere down the road after the intial impacting phase, that might be something to ponder, yet I've never considered myself to be quite THAT helpful... If you folks want to do that type of thing, I won't judge

Seriously, I hope Keith realizes that I respect him, and that I'm just being a wise-@ss.. Last thing I want to do is offend my online friends with my clown act....
If ever anyone I knew needed help, this isn't my actual demeanor. I'm just trying to keep things fun...Yet people do get offended, and for that reason I try to keep my humor self-deprecating.. Last thing I want to do is alienate anyone by crossing the line.. Risking a thread getting pulled is of lesser concern to me than hurting someones feelings with stinging humor. That's not my intent....

Nicely said Steven!! Since I am new here I am trying to keep my warpedness to a minimum until I get to know people.
And just so you know Steven, you seem to be my kind of warped.
I'm sure whatever he decides to do on his date it will be great.....I just don't recommend going putt putting in snow and very cold temps, she would not like him for that....But it would get him close to her (to keep warm,) that is

Ease up Allstar,
You don't have to remind me of the soap opera that my life has become.
Ok, I slept on it and I have decided not to date her....I got too many other things to do right now....She can come vist and play music and sing and all that, but no romance.
I'll check her for tatts and see how she does on the dance pole, but romance will have to wait....Maybe she has a cute friend or two, huh?
I like Steve's idea of the piano player....

Well done Keith! You are now over the initial hormonal inbalance and you're back to normal. Keep going my man

no need to worry.. I've just saved a copy of this thread and sent it to her. She no longer wants to date someone that can't make up their mind. :nana:

Hon, you can make a thousand copies and post them all over the web if you want....I consider it doing me a favor......I don't need no drama right now!
Nope, I need to go fishing and fool with my horses.....then go fishing and fool with my horses again.....

Exactly what I was saying, I thought Tony's comment was WAY too extreme, and it appeared he was trying to do exactly that. It didn't look to me that Tony was "helping him prepare for a first date" at all. But, boys will be boys.......
