I think I have figured out Bluestainedshoes is Charmin. I'm learning new things all the time like Kappy's posts always semm to disappear. LMAO
Charmin I was thinking of you Sat. night. I went to sing karaoke at a friend's son's show. He had an old amp and tray with speakers his father bought off a truck 15 yrs. ago for $50. It sounded like crap. He was working in a martini bar. Your system is going to rock in comparison and you are using it for home use, right?
You may consider taking your home show on the road.

You're right........... I AM like a kid waiting to open HER (not HIS, dang it Don, LoL) christmas presents. I can imagine come thursday I'm gonna jump up & run to the door every time I hear a vehicle coming down the road.
And...... it is NOT making life worthwhile. I usually think time goes by too fast, now I just want to erase about 4-5 days of the near future & jump to the end of next week. Maybe I could sleep that long?!?! Nah, I'll just have to realllllyyyyy try to wear out my old system, and then I'll appreciate the new one even more. Gosh, but I'm gonna think something's wrong with it if I get all the way through a whole song with no noisy feedback. Hahaha, could you imagine? "What's wrong with this thing?!? They ripped me off!! There's no feedback at all- NONE!!!" Yeah, I'm thinking I better get off to bed, I'm starting to sound a BIT sleepy. :D[/quote]
Charmin ~
I'm very well aware that you're a Her and not a His! LOL There's no question there.
I just used His in a generic sense of the word. Get a camcorder going and film the arrival and opening of the equipment so you can relive the thrill at later, more boring times. Now don't expect that anti-feedback control to stop each and every squeal. None of them are that perfect and your current setup has the mic fairly close to the speakers. But the new system will be a vast improvement over the old one for sure! ~ Don

Charmin ~ OK oh masterful one, explain to me by e-mail just how to properly put quotes in my responses so things make sense to other readers. LOL I'm not up to speed on this 21st century stuff yet and my hard bound instruction manual hasn't arrived. It is coming isn't it? ~ Don

Quote: Alot of different branded electronic equipment comes out of the same manufacturing plant, sometimes with nearly identical design. They just slap a different logo on it. It's all good (or bad sometimes, but good in your case)!! . It's like Helman's mayo on the east coast, Best Foods on the west -- same recipe.
It's amazing how true this is. Some of us grew up favoring only one or two brand names in electronic's, Fearing other generic, or lesser known names were a lesser quality, yet we never considered the fact that many makes come from the same manufacturing plant, and are identicle product except for their name. In doing this the consumer so often ends up paying inflated prices for the familiar names advertising expenses, and this just perpetuates the cycle. Many names come out've only a handful of plants.. As a result of this revelation, I decided to take a chance and purchase a new mixer today. I was surprised to not only find that with audio electronics a name some recognize as quality in the East, is the lesser known name albeit same product readily available in the West, but often vice versa. So please, noone laugh at me when I show you what I took a gamble on and purchased.
I know some in here like names such as Allen & Heath, and Mackie, but I decided to spend less, and get a supposedly decent quality Mixer made by the same company that makes ALOT of other products in the electronic's market. Now don't hurt my feelings !

Steve ~ Funny stuff there Steve. Panasonic has a model that looks just like that one. Repair parts for it come from Matsushita in Japan. Hmmm.

Matsushita is the parent company of Panasonic and National and a few others.

Nalley's bought RCA and Blaupunkt... Around the time General Mill's acquired Grundig, Sharp, and United Technologies.
August 2005, Panasonic was still the leading known name brand of Matsushita Electronics Industries in Osaka Japan. Unless something has changed in the last few months, Matsushita has been the parent company of Panasonic for years... There is a Panasonic of North America division, yet Panasonic is still owned by Matsushita.. At least it was up until VERY recently assuming it was bought out... (and Matsushita is getting back into semiconducter's now solely). I also recall something about Quasar, and JVC also Matsushita....... Yet Panasonic/Technic's has been Matsushita for decades....A few other makes too.....I think they were operating in the red late november, and purchased Electrolux to suck up the deficit.
(Bad Singer, Don was joking, Nalley's is a large food company.. I think they make Chili,or something like that...I don't recall)

Been there, done that...I chased the FedEx truck one day all the way to town and made him give me my package.....He said it would screw up his GPS delivery device if I signed for it not at my address...I told him I would screw up his face if he didn't give it to me....So he did.
Make sure to eat between now and Thursday.
Once the gear shows up, take your time opening it...Dig thru all the packaging and sort out the paperwork and warranty suff.....Take care patching it all together.....
I envy you your day.

Charmin/Keith ~~ Uh, oh! my joking around didn't translate well across the wires. OK Charmin, my penalty will be that you get my EV microphone that you like so much for REAL cheap. Just let me use it once in awhile if I ever sing or record an acoustic guitar part again (which may be never -- but you never can tell)!
