I spent great part last 2 days on this forums and collected valuable info for my future home karaoke system.  I listen to Lonman and have eyes on Mackie SRM350 and DFX-6.

I also want to upgrade my wireless microphones and bought one of this:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7380747125&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

From the pictures in eBay listing, I could not match the digital display anywhere.  There was also no model shown on front below the "Shure".  Please let me know if this buy is legit before I send the money.  Is it the old ULXP than the ULXP-4?

Thanks all.

Just by looking at it I would say it's a real Shure system.  However, it doesn't mention which handhelds it comes with only a wide range of options available - including the Beta 87 & SM58.  If these are the mics it comes with, that's great.  The reciever doesn't look right either - maybe an earlier model but not what they are currently showing, but one thing you noted was the model number isn't printed on the reciever, every model i've seen so far has had it.

Now the guy does have 100% feedback, but has never been a seller, just a good buyer so far, so he pays for his items.  I would ask more questions in detail to him.  Which mics are included, what is the age of the unit, why does the receiver look different than the models on the Shure website, etc...

Thanks, Lonman.  I put all his listings on my 'watch list' and they are gone by the end of day.  He hasn't responded my question yet.

I am the one who bought it.  The seller still hasn't return my questions.  Very suspicous.  "I have a bad feeling about this".  I contacted Shure and asked about the different digital display.  They said there's a lot of counterfeits around, and that looks like one.

If you have a bad feeling, you should go with your gut instinct.  If you bought it, however, you are locked into the agreement.  Just the fact that the guy didn't answer any questions is a red flag, another - after looking at it again, is that he pushed "100% authentic" first words out, that would be another red flag.
Like I said he looks to be a good buyer, but hasn't sold anything to date, this will be the first thing.

I was able to contact one of the buyers.  He paid and the shipment is on the way from China.

In my country a big number of sm58 are made in China and are sold either as copy or even worst as real.

My rule is don't buy from Ebay.

You never know what you are getting.

I've never had a problem from e-bay purchases.  Just have to know what to look for & ask questions.
