I don't think there is anything you can do about tonsillitis. It isn't like the flu or cold.
From what I'm to understand is until you have your tonsils out you have to just grin and bear it.
Here is some info from webmd http://www.webmd.com/hw/infection/ut1034.asp
http://www.webmd.com/hw/infection/ut1036.asp
I hope you feel better and Happy Birthday

The SenJow product I use is an application formula... love it for sore throats, headaches, sore muscles, sinus problems (the Eucylptis is especially heady), and a terrific medical balm for massage therapy!

Hi Crystal! Sorry to hear you are sick. First of all, I have tried the peroxide thing. It was recomended by a doctor one time. He told me to mix the peroxide and warm water. 50% peroxide and 50% water, then gargle. Do not drink it silly, it is poision. What will happen is that it will cause all the gunk on your tonsils to come off. You will have to spit a thousand times but it is not nasty tasting. You can handle it with little problem. The main thing is how suddenly that stuff starts coming off the tonsils because the peroxide loosens it up. That will not cure you though. You will need more. The best advise I can give you is to go to the doctor and have him give you a couple of shots to get you started and then take antibiotics along with what ever else is prescribed. If you do that, you could be well by the 7th. You will need about 24 hours after the doctor visit to feel better and about 5 days to be able to really feel like you can sing. Trust me, the quicker you go, the faster you will get well. Hope you get over it soon darlin! Miss hearing your beautiful voice!--Mike

What will probably fix you is to find the pulpiest lemonaide and take about 6 grams of crystalline vitamin C q 8 yours until you are well or until you reach - (medical mode - bowel tolerance.. that is where things get too active)
This has worked for me for almost every serious illness in my life. It cured Salmonella when I drank extremely toxic goat's milk which was bad.
I can't officially say any of this of course. You know the standard.. stuff.. go to the doctor and he will tell you its a virus and do nothing for you.

You should have seen the goat! No, honestly I was running a health food store and was very into raw milk and decided to try a carton of certfied raw goat's milk. Mistake.

Heya Crystal hon...
something that has been helping me is to gargle with Listerine.. it's stronger than heck but it kills off anything and everything in the mouth!! and switch toothbrushes too because you probably have germs on your toothbrush that are just reinfecting you.
I had to have my tonsils out when I was 8.. best thing I ever did. Before that I was at the dr. every two weeks for tonsilitus plus ruptured ear drums, etc... it really messed me up. Taking them out really helped. Only thing was I discovered a few years later that they oopsed and removed my uvula too ... in fact my plastic surgeon commented on that just a couple weeks ago and said. oooops you do know that affects your voice? yeah well what I'm supposed to do about now I don't know duuuuhhhhh so some day peeps you may find me a silent Foxe and you'll be doing this I'm sure>> :worship: :worship: :worship: (not to me but to the doc that removed it )
Hope you get better sweety.. no missing karaoke birthday!

I have some info on my website... http://www.knightshow.com/jadesprings/
sort of a combination of my own story about it, as well as what the maker of it says.
he's turned away offers to go commercial. he's perfectly happy making this in his own way!

A word of caution however. I lost quite a few braincell's doing this. ALWAYS remember to remove your head first !
All kidding aside, Melly, I bought a qt of Apple Cider Vinegar yesterday. Is it actually safe to drink that amount of this stuff ? It burns. It won't eat thru your asophagus, and burn holes in your gut ? It goes down like Bacardi 151 or Chartreuse
This isn't one of those High School type pranks, like the HCl.3H2O, or H2SO4 prank I hope. Even honey didn't help

rumble rumble - well could not help but add to this topic with another aspect here. Everymorning both Seb and I awake with rumble rumble lower tummy. It seems that most of what we eat does not sit well, and most of the household we live in, children, relatives, and a LOT of people have this. It has continued for months.
No fever, or low grade, and went to the doctor and they were just not that excited. Called the CDC and was told "the state must request help and a doctor must IDENTIFY a definite bug. Unfortunately, the doctor didn't run any serious tests to find the bug. Too expensive under our health coverage.
So I woke up this morning, for a another day in paradise and wondered... is this something that zillions of people have. I have heard of IBS and how it is in some huge number of people. Of course it is probably irrelevant to a music sub. Although I would think if you had serious bathroom problems in the middle of a Karaoke performance it would kind of (as in my 12 year old days) be a little humorous to everyone but you.
I was told Crystal that in an average community there are up to a thousand strains or more of bugs. One pre-school worker told me she never got well until she quit her job.
So - in a whole new spectrum of reality - sniff - sniff -somebody fix me.
(thinking.. did I really write that and post that.. oh well.. maybe some good will come of it.)
