What is the model #?  I didn't know JBL/UREI made a feedback eliminator - at least I can't recall one.

Thing that bugs me is why they are selling it so cheap if it was supposedly that much?  UREI used to make some TOP of the high end in it's day until JBL got involved with them.  Stuff like the old UREI leveling amps LA3, compressors LA4, LA5 & 1176, 1178 really held their value - can still see them all sold for approx $1000 or better (closer to $2000 the 1176 blackface).  Anything with the JBL name was really not  very good & won't command a very high resale value.
The only UREI "feedback suppressor" that I did find was model 560 & it was just a simple single channel, 4 band parametric eq.  Just seen one on e-bay today after a quick search.

http://cgi.ebay.com/UREI-Feedback-Suppr ... dZViewItem

A little more research I did find the JBL/UREI 562 feedback suppressor.

I was just editing that I found the same thing.
Don't know much about this one but  & have only found a couple for a quick price reference.  I found a few for sale ranging from $75-$175

So while the $150 may be an "ok" price (maybe a little on the high side), the prices alone should tell you something about the desire of the piece itself.  It looks to be nothing more than a fancy 5 band parametirc eq with a couple of hi & lo filters.  Made in 1979, if it were me, i'd pass.  Hell for the matter, the Behringer <shudder> Feedback Destroyer works ok as a dual 12 band parametric eq itself if you really want one.

Go here Gents:

http://www.prepal.com/data/Urei.htm

Always check this site before buying used PA gear. It shows average retail for most items.

In this case there are many Urei items listed.

used to go there often just to get an idea, but on occasion (sometimes often) they are way out of date or just not on track.  Example I was trying to get an idea on selling my Alesis 3630 compressor used price avg. $87?  You can buy a new one for $99.  Most of the time you can find them used for $25-40.  They have a used Masterlink at avg $798, new you can get for $799.
Even the the upper end UREI stuff is a little under avg. what actual going rate is.  I usually just look for private sales & do an avg myself.  Generally I will find one cheaper than what they list as the avg. going rate.  Got 4 Symetrix 501 compressors for $50-75 each - although I got lucky admittedly.
