					| I have noticed out in public and in the stores Most everybody is making the  point to say MERRY Christmas....
You dont need to verbally communicate with anybody All you do is look into their eyes with unconditional Love especially kids  and smile..... No words are neccessary.....

And I suppose there are alot of people here that dont believe in Santa Claus.... I know there is one cuz when we were kids we were woke up about 2 in the morn It was 10 below 3 feet of snow on the ground Grandpa was outside in his shorts Screaming  I dont care who you Are Get them f****  deer off of my roof..

I believe in miracles for I see them every day...

					| Being a Christian I do celebrate Christmas as a Christian Holiday.  This is when I and my family celebrate the birth of our Jesus regardless of when his real birthday may have been.  I don't have a problem with anyone that is not a Christian celebrating the holidays during this time but I do have a problem with them wanting to take away my Christmas.  I don't ask them to take down their symbols of what they believe in and I don't think they should force me to take mine down.
This year in one of our suburbs the local library allowed a church to put a nativity scene up on the grounds as long as it didn't have any religious symbols....so Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, or the 3 Wise Men or Shepards could not be displayed.  Only the animals were there.  The mayor had been out of town and returned last week and overturned that ruling and now they have the full nativity scene displayed.

I am so much for keeping Christ in Chistmas that I will not even use the word "Xmas" because I feel like it is crossing Christ out of Christmas. It actually makes me cringe when I see it used.  My kids were taught to never use this also and don't do it even now.

But regardless of my beliefs, I do wish every one a peaceful and cheery holiday.

 MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

					| a10cgirl - I never thought of the "x-mas" use before. You kind of opened my eyes to something. I guess when I use it I'm reading and thinking Christmas, not x-mas. I'm just to lazy to write it out all the time. No offense is attended. _________________ [shadow=pink][glow=deepskyblue]. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I don't think most people that use it mean it in a bad way when they use it either.  It was just brought to my attention when I was young and something that never left me.  Most people, I think, just use it as an abbreviation but I, personally, just can't use it._________________

					| a10cgirl - You've planted the seed.
I can't bring myself to abreviate Christmas anymore.
It's so compelling now to write it out - I keep remembering what you said.
Your a classy gal ! Thank you

Babs, I don't try to put my beliefs on other people but when everyone was sharing their thoughts on Christmas I wanted to share mine.  But I have to admit that I'm thrilled you no longer want to use the abbreviation there.  You made my day!!!
