Ive recently become frustrated with the vocals of my system. I have the following set up:

Mackie DFX12
BBE 882
JBL EON G2's

When I first went to this set up I was extremly happy with it because it was superior to what I did have. Now I'm looking to add or upgrade componets to improve vocals. I was thinking about going with the Mackie CFX12 and adding a processor.
Does anyone use a similar set up and have a suggestion on what would improve overall quality.

I will admit that the addition to the midrange is a boon when it comes to vocals and
music player eq.

However, I wonder at just exactly how your settings are working with your system... I have that same mixer, and was very happy with the sound I had coming back to me!

Never mind me... just saw the duplicate post... others more knowledgeable are workin' with you.

I have had the CFX12 for 6 years now.  Still have not seen the need for a compressor.  The CFX12 is bigger than the DFX, but love the way it can handle vocals.
