Ahhh the windy city...isn't that what they call it?? Although I only know a few of you so far, I think it would be great to take a trip to Chicago. I have only ever been there once, for a volleyball tournament back in high school...and we ended up spending most of the time in the airport, hotel, and of course on the court...so I'd love to actually SEE the city!! If this ever does come to fruition, count me in!!

Also when you are TYPING a response, you'll see seven little boxes above the main typing area. As well as Font editing ones below that. EXPERIMENT with it.

.........Well I'm getting there...... ........I haven't been around to respond to this thread, but I'm glad people are showing interest. It would be cool to get a vague idea of how many people would actually show up, but summer is a ways off yet, and alot of things can happen between now and then......But I will try to keep the idea fresh in everyone's mind, and maybe once we get closer to summer, try and get an actual number together, in the meantime, I will check into some clubs up there that we could possibly take over for a couple days, I'll keep ya'll posted

Ooh, see if you can get the House of Blues.... haha, I suppose everyone would have to pay a cover charge of $1000 or so! A cool hotel to stay in up there is the Hotel 71. (hotel71.com) And their bar makes FABULOUS Long Islands. I know they have meeting space and suites... wonder how much they cost to reserve?
If you like wine I know that Bin36 has private dining rooms... perhaps visitors might even want to join in!
If only you were in Japan; it would be so much easier to set this up!

..................Yea, I would say the HOB is probably out of the question, especially since they have national touring acts in there pretty much every day of the week.....As for lodging, you'll find me at the nearest Motel 6.... ......

I notice you are in Euless... I'm around the corner in Hurst... Do you sing at Vino's?? I do occasionally, not often...I ussually head over to Grand Prairie. Where do you sing???
And to the arrangers of this event I would love to be included. We can get a group from Texas to all ride together. Crank could always stop in D/FW and pick us up and we could ride in his boat all the way up....
How bout it crank??

i'm all about parties! as for the boat, have you ever heard the jeff foxworthy bit about towing towing the boat? cop pulls them over because the boat has no lights or some such thing.....plus they dropped the skier about a mile back.....
anyway, i'm sure there will be plenty 'o room in the family truckster! if the party is in chi-town, we have to wait until opening day for the Cubs and we HAVE to have dinner at Shaw's!

That sounds like FUN!!!!!!! Chicago wouldn't be too far for me (I'm in St. Louis, so I could drive there). It depends on when it is. So I don't know if you can count me in yet--but definitely count me interested.

Oh my gosh, I have that Jeff Foxworthy cd, it's freakin' hillarious. I thought this thread was all forgotten about. I really hope this party idea happens, I wanna go. If ONLY I could get over my fear of airplanes, cause I don't wanna drive to Chicago. But you all simply can NOT have a party without me!! That would so not be fair. :crying2:
I fully agree with you, I ain't going if you're not!
