I think ive figured out the software part, but I am unsure how to connect this up to record. I have a karaoke machine going into a behringer mixer, mic into mixer, the karaoke machine goes into the rca tape in and then I have my amp plugged into the output of the tape. What im trying to do is put a computer into this mix and record on it as well. I am planning on taking out the karaoke machine and replace with the pc. Anyways, can anyone tell me how I would connect this so that I may use the amplifier and everything. Thank you. This is the behringer I think 6 channel it has 2 mic inputs.

Most mixers have a record out. If not the Behringer mixer will have a main out use that to your amplifer. The control room out to your pc, the control room / headphone level will control your line level in on your computer. Many times you will have to use mic in vs line in on your sound card to get a decent level.

I suggest using a channel for your karaoke player vs the tape in. It will give you eq control and level control for your mix.

Thank you very much. The mixer is the 6 channel small behringer. Dont think it has a record out, but I can use the tape out right.

So I bought these converters to the 1/4" plugs, so I plug it in but am getting no stereo. I get left channel or right just like the mixer says. Can anyone tell me how I get stereo out of these plugs or do I need to get a different type?  I have rca now, and would like to use the 1/4" plug inputs on my behringer mixer. Thank you.

Why do you want to record you vox in stereo? Most mixers channel strip output are mono. Set your recorder to record in mono so the vox will not be left or right.

But the sound is coming out of my amp mono, and I want stereo.  So I plugged my stereo/amp into the main outputs, but I have an rca  to 1/4" so left and right go into 1 plug, I plug that into the left channel on the mixer and of course all that plays is the left channel instead of both channels. It looks as if the only way to get both speakers, or channels to work is to buy some kind of rca left to 1/4" and rca right to 1/4". Is this right?

A single voice is a mono source and thus I record it as mono. My recording set up is a bit diffrent. I prefer to load the tracking software with the backing track rather than play it thru some machine. The mixer then is use only as a pre amp for the mic. This is a lot less complicated.

Well, I was wanting to set this up so that I can record and also do normal karaoke.  So if I was to set this up so it would work for just normal karaoke how would I go about it? I have a pc, mic, and amp. Without worrying about recording how should this be setup. I have the behringer 6 channel amp. 2 mic inputs and 4 1/4" left and right inputs.
