[glow=darkorchid]I maybe slow on the uptake, but it has just come to my attention that cool edit pro has been discontinued so may I please have a moment of silence for it's passing..... actually I really wanted to know if any of you have use the so-called replacement, I think it's called Adobe Audition..... I was thinking about getting it but figured you guys might be able to stop me from megs of trouble if needed :)[/glow]

Step up to a pro software:

Cakewalk, Sonar, Pro Tools, Vegas Pro

and Sound Forge for mastering.

Man... that font is annoying...

I use Audacity, I know some others on here use it too...I've heard Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition or whatever is a lot better, but what do I know.

Audacity is free if you want to try it and relatively easy to use.

If you are already on CEP there is no real reason to up grade to AA; unless you are recording full music (the backing track). For this site and most other singing sites the old CEP is good enough.
But if you have the money to throw away then here is the place to get it for cheap, tho not the latest ver.

I am the only one around here who prefer to use KRISTAL  rather than Audition; both are freeware.
