Hey do what you want Phil, but on your third point isn't it folly to say that when so many are having problems, and the KSK site has pretty much the same members and no outages pretty much ever. I always check that site when this one is down and its always up!. I think your provider has a problem, that how stuff works link just isn't the answer.....

I really like this site Phil, and all this in totally in your interest and I'm on your side....

And how are ya Dona? I'm glad to be back....

Russ

OK Phil, at about 9:10 to 9:45 Phoenix time I wasn't able to get onto the site, if just came back now. Waz able to get to google, myown site, KSK, DTS, and other random sites. You've def got a provider problem, its not some "out there in the internet" problem.......

Hello to you all this is the Datacenter we will continue to monitor this server. I personally was in the server yesterday and it was responding. But never went to the site itselfs.. If you see that the site is not responding please send a email to admin(at)mashosts.com and I will hop in and see what is happening. Please bear with us as we try to get this matter fixed...

Thanks
Darrell

I have always found this site to be up and running. However uploading on SS was a bit of a worry for a couple of days. I could not upload. I thought that it was the fault of my ISP..so I contacted Support. They said that the site (SS) was too busy!!
And that makes sense I suppose. With a site like SS..the only one of it's type...baby it's a wonder we'll get  a chance to ever upload...any song!!

PS...I am on slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwdila-up....uggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have been desperately working on improving the speed of the site(s).

I have increased the upload capacity and currently I am working with outside assistance on modifying the code & scripts that are used.

The site(s) do receive a great deal of traffic over 1000 visitors per day! This does use quite a bit of bandwidth. I have again increased the allocation of the bandwidth for the Singers Showcase.

The DataCenter (Darrell) has been monitoring the server for any anomalies and we will continue to observe the server to make certain that it remains accessible for all members/vistors!

If anyone experiences any troubles please contact me. I will investigate the situation and remedy as quickly as possible.

Thank you,

SS was down in West Texas during that time too! I tried to access it on Friday several times then again during Labor Day weekend and I was not able to get into SS! That was frustrating to me because the one time I do have available to come in and listen to everyone as well as sub a few tunes, I cant get in!  Oh well! That is the way it goes! --Mike

User elects to listen to submission and nothing happens.
PopUp Window appears and doesn't and can't initialize submission.

Elsewhere this is not an issue.

[font=Comic Sans MS]I tried to submit a reply earlier today and it took me to a webiste that indicated the web address had expired and had a place to click on to renew it...  I thought I had done something realllllly weird so I shut down and brought it back up again, no go...  I could access other sites though.  I got busy and just now had time to try again, working fine now!

This evening I'm having problems.  Has anyone had problems playing songs? I get the pop up window but then the little icon for quicktime player(I think that's what it's called) sort of squeezes up and the bar where the music moves along doesn't come up.  I've tried several songs.  Also, I have the Singer's Showcase bookmarked and at one point I got a completely different website with the name Singer's Showcase.  I went into Karaoke Scene's bookmark and tried to link from the left menu at Singer's Showcase and still got the weird website.  I tried later and got back in, but  I just can't listen to anything, and I'm afraid to try to post any songs.  I have sent an e-mail regarding  the problem.

Hello All
I have tracked down the problem please bear with the owners as they renew the domain that has expired and where this database connects to.. I do have a call into phill so he may update the domain name as I have gotten many emails about this problem at the datacenter.. As our job is only limited to watching the server in making sure it is up and running .. If you notice it not responding then it is fine to contact us and we will get it up in a timely manner.. As for any other matters please contact the the sites admin.. Please bear with the sites admin as they have been notified of the songs not working do to an expired domain where the database is located and the songs are held..

I have no idea what domain name is expired. All domains are current and active.

The SMTP error is due to a member requesting to be notified of any new post to a thread, however they do not have an email address listed!

I have tried to contact all members regarding this previously. IT IS MANDITORY THAT ALL MEMBERS HAVE A CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS LISTED.

This can cause problems with the forums.

It was saying www.singersshowcase.com is expired when I got the funny page popup instead of the site. There was a few minutes where on one computer, if I go to the site as a guest, I would get the SS domain name expired page. Switch to another computer, go in as a saved logged on user, and get onto the site no problem...
