I cannot listen to your songs on my slowwwwww dial up..not even mine when I upload it.....however I am open to requests. If at any time you want me to re-upload a song that you like to hear...again...tell me. This is the least I can do for my karafriends on this forum.

Hiya!!!  Having been on dialup until recently I know what you mean.  Perhaps we should go into the suggestions area and suggest download links.... it's how I had to do songs in my dialup days.   Then once it is saved, you can listen to it as many times as you like....

It seems to download faster than to buffer it even on dialup and once you've got it, it is nice to listen to...  none of that sputtering buffering going on...

I want to listen to a few at a time...like I have broadband!! When you download that's time consuming isn't it? I like to comment on them too..but it will be dishonest should I comment without listening to them first
For example I see Terjo that you have a few songs submitted. While you listen to me....I cannot listen to you.....all I know is your name. Man..is it frustrating!!

I do know what you mean, but dial up is a world where patience is the virtue LOL

I can tell you downloading a song is a whole lot faster than trying to buffer it, takes about 5 minutes to download a song, as I recall.

Sometimes, even when you can't get broadband you can get ISDN, which is double the speed of dialup but not the lightning speeds of broadband.

Don't know whether you are on dialup due to money or location, so I'll add that sometimes ISDN is available when broadband is not... this doubles your dialup speed, and requires its own modem (usually included in the service)

Yes, ITA. I had ISDN for a while before DSL came to my town, and it was great. Much faster than dialup.

Downloading is a great idea but not sure how people would like that.  It might also cause some legal problems for SS.  We could set up a Yahoo mailing list for sharing songs...

If anyone wants to hear my songs, you can download them from my site!  You don't have to stream them there.

I am on dial-up due to economic reasons.....it is much cheaper than broadband.....less than half!! I'd have to wait a few years before broadband gets cheaper. Meanwhile I can upload onSS...usually takes between 7 and 11 minutes. Not bad for dial-up I suppose. But I cannot listen

Not sure I understand why you are unable to listen.  I was on dial up when I first came on here.  It took longer for the song to load.......it would buffer and buffer and then I could listen to it all the way through.  Of course I couldn't listen to as many as I can now.  I was on a 56K modem.  But I have to admit.....I love my DSL but dang....it is expensive.
