I have legally downloaded alot of karaoke songs from the Newsgroups on the computer. Each song is actually a folder that has 3 files in it. There is a .zip file,
a .cdg file, and an .mp3 file. My question is, will these songs work on a karaoke player that reads CD+G, MP3, DVD, and VCD cds? Thank you for your time.
Danny

first, those files you have downloaded on the newsgroups are not "legal" downloads... secondly, the raw mp3 and cdg file you download have to be converted to BIN files and burned, with a CDG compatible CD drive, to a cd to play in a CDG player... good luck- tig

:rotflmao:  I hope nobody else sees this post! That's funny :D  Anycase, you have downloaded some music. Here's the way to go. As Tig said,

I'll be nice and explain in slightly more detail

Get a hold of Mp3 + G Toolz from the Internet. A Google search will help you out there.
Then combine the CDG and MP3 files to create a BIN file.
Now you need a CDG compatible CD writer, (Plextor is guaranteed to work) and burn the BIN files to CD using CDR-Win

Ps:
Check this site out, it has step by step instructions for both compatible and noncompatible burners:

To original poster:
Power CD+G Burner will burn MP3+G files on most (also non-compatible) drives in one simple step -- it does not require fiddling with BIN files. The drawback is that the software is not free.

I got a few birthday cards with cash in them out of my neighbors mailbox. Is that legal?
