finallly got my basement finished and my karaoke stuff moved in and it sounds great!
i'd like to work on doing some mixing but not sure if i need anymore equipment.
What i have now is a JVC 22 Karaoke CD+G Player,Yamaha EMX66M 6-Channel Powered Mixer,2 Yamaha BR15 speakers and a shure sm57 mic.
For software i have Adobe Audition 1.5.
I had seen similar things in
Walmart ad, if you want to take a look.
Currently i use an hp pavilion notebook for recording. My player plugs into the front of the mixer and my laptop is connected via the "mic in" on the computer from "rec out" also on the front of the mixer.(2 into 1 cable)
Currently when i record,it's already mixed, music and voice all into one track,so i don't seem to have alot of editing options and mixdowns.I like to sing along with the music. My computer isn't capable of playing on screen lyrics and the thought of having to play my cdg disc on the mixer and sing into the computer doesn't seem to be a viable or appealing option.
I have no other options to connect my mixer that i can see.I tried doing the left and right channel thing without success.
any tips, suggestions or equipment advice would be greatly appreciated! :worship:
thanks,mike
