There have been a rash of network services going down lately.
All over the country different areas have been affected. Please note this is not at the Data Center where my servers are stored but at various network ceters across the country. These operate similar to a router. when the connection is broken certain areas are unable to work while others can.
Recently there was some news coverage on this.

Thanks, Phil. I understand what you are saying. Hopefully everything is getting back to normal because I could get back on this morning. Also wanted to say...thank you for all your hard work! I know this isn't easy keeping all this going!

I was awaiting someone to ask something like like! Ha Ha - What are you still using your Commodore 64 as well. The newer Amiga 128 is Awesome!

Speed seems not to be the issue for me. I at times get a DNS Gateway timeout and can't connect.
Otherwise no problems so far.

Speed is an issue for me.
I find it difficult to get from point A to point B
I recently purchased this computer and use it mainly for keeping my books here at the office.
Accessing the Internet was not my primary goal.
However, now that I have found this site I see that it may be.
How do you upgrade an internal modem?
I use dialup earthlink with a 14.4 modem. S-L-O-W!

DSL - Seems to be adequate for forums and what not. Beats the old dial-up.
