...on all your submissions...but cannot!! So do not think that I do not want to!!
The reason is that I just cannot listen to them. I click the song...and all I get is a bit here.......longgggggggggg gap.....a bit there....longggggggggggg gap.......a bit again...a longggggggggggg gap.....and so on and so forth.
I do think though that from the "bits' that I hear you are excellent.

Well, you are doing a bit better than I am. I click on some and get nothing. I go back later and try and then it works okay. This happens quite often.

At least Connie.....you do get to hear one here one there.
I get a "bit" (2 seconds or so)...then silence...for 6 seconds..then...2 seconds of sound.....and so on!! I wonder what causes this? No one can tell us !!

Are ya'll on dial up? It sounds like it's buffering......If you will let it completely load then you can move the button back to the beginning and hear it . This is what I had to do when I was on dial up.......also the reason I went to DSL. It would take forever to be able to listen.

Yeah.....that's what it is doing. It buffers ever so many seconds. But if you will just be patient and let it upload all the way or until it gets just about to the end, slide that slider back to the beginning and you can hear the song without it stopping on you. I used to let mine buffer and I would do something else on the computer or even in the house while it was doing that. Takes a lot of patience and you have to really choose what you want to listen to since it takes a while. I was on 56K, also and it would usually take a few minutes for it for to upload completely. Hope this helps!

I am still on 56k dial up.....because I am a pensioner...and the pension here is only a fraction of the wages (wages 600 hundred dollars a week.....pension is only 200 dollars a week). Broadband here in Australia is around 27 dollars a month....and dial up is only 8 dollars a month.....so you see broadband is over 3 times the cost of dial-up.
I am curious as to what the cost of both is in the USA.....????
Can you people tell me?

$29.95/month here in this part of Kentucky but it's cheaper in the metropolitan areas. I know some places it's as little as $14.95/month

I have to pay around $60.00 a month for DSL. The only choice we have with the DSL is through a private phone company. When I was on dial up it was $24.99 a month.

In Malaysia it cost RM68.00, thats just less than $20 usd. Its cost you 3x more than dial up but about 10x faster.

Yes...Broadband here in Australia is double that of dial-up. I forgot to mention that there is a download per month limit on that of a 100MB....In excess of that you are charged per megabyte.

With such a low cap of 100mb, that's expensive. Here there is on limit; my internet is on 18 hrs a day cos I use my pc as long distance phone.

And I also forgot to mention that there would be a contract for 12 months.
It looks like I'll be on dial-up for a while. However here in Australia things do get cheaper. I mean 3 years ago..I was paying 19.95 per month for dial-up. Now it's 8.95. So I would presume that in a few years broadband will get as cheap.

I cant even get dial up for 8.95 a month here in my area! That's great that you can! Broadband is outrageous! I just figure I will wait for the pages to load! I am a real cheap guy! I figure the pain of waiting is still not worth the money to go broadband! Maybe I need to take another look at it! --Mike

Dial up yep 23.99 a month plus the phoe line. 19.99 Mom would get dsl but we are to far in the sticks .
If you click on the mute button and wait till it loads and the click mute again and press play it works out pretty good. You can do some homework while you wait.

At my parents house they have DirecWay by satellite cause they can't get DSL; only can get dial-up cause they live way out in the country. It costed them over $600 for the installation and $60 a month for the internet. I'm moving to Hunstville, AL and I'll be getting high-speed internet for only $19.95 a month. See the difference? Take care! Crystal :p
