The thread was about a KJ that supplied incorrect information about a disk they had in inventory.  It was bad, then suddenly it's good, and then it's bad again.

The KJ is an IDIOT... If you have a bad disk they should know it right away.  I have a disk that has 2 bad tracks on it that I need to send off to Sound Choice.  Anytime someone request one of those two songs I tell them they're bad and recommend an alternative.  The problem is that it was bad when I purchased Foundation 2!

I'd have sent the tracks in already but since I'm in Alaska I have to pay return shipping on the replacement disk and I'd be without it for about 2 weeks while I wait for the replacement.  I'd copy it and send the original in for replacement but that would be ILLEGAL.   I was tempted to download the two songs off the internet and burn a 'duplicate' of the bad disc (it's in my Foundation 2) but again - illegal.

ahhhh matt matt matt... you are telling me that you do not use the stuff at home for your business??? puhlease... just because you don't pack up your home PC and use it in your show doesn't make it any less part of your business but as you pointed out that MUST be ok since you don't use it in your show... do I use stuff I don't own? yup, have never PRETENDED otherwise... do I run shows anymore? nope, haven't for awhile so what I use when I go out for personal use is a moot point eh?  it is amazing the "do as I say, not as I do" mentality... remember, I designed and built your show PC system so I know what went into it from the beginning... have you went out and bought alot of the software that you originally used? yup, but that doesn't change the fact that EVERY serial, crack and keygen you have used up to this point to get you where you are isn't any different than the "pirate" finger you point at others... friend of the manufacturers... that really cracks me up... we can really discuss that phrase if ya want but I doubt you will want to... when you start pointing fingers at others for how "legal" they are and what they can prove, lets look in the mirror first and start there to begin with....

Mike, Mike...

you're the one that hijacked this thread to start trying to point fingers. And for no other reason to "lower" me or to belittle me or whatever your motive was.

I stand by my words. All of them.

When people point out piracy of karaoke, you're the first person to point out piracy in GENERAL. Well the manus don't give one WHIT about stopping all piracy. They care about the very copyright info that they are concerned about... their own. I address these facts, and then you cloud over the waters with obsucre information trying to confuse the situation.

The WHOLE point I make is... as far as karaoke is concerned... I am 100% legal. I own EVERY track that "knightshow" represents.

Could I betray that? Sure could, but I choose not to.

so whats the difference??? piracy is piracy is piracy ain't it??? I don't do it to belittle you matt but simply to make the point when I see you making statements about "legalities" and people being able to prove they own their stuff... I could care less what the manufacturers think and, honestly, either do you... you KNOW for a fact that there are a handful of manufacturers who have said NO to format shifting their product and yet you still do because you justify it by saying you bought it... who cares- at this point and time it is ILLEGAL... will anything ever be done about it? nope but that doesn't make it LEGAL, it just makes it acceptable to you... so I guess the moral of the story is that karaoke piracy is BAD and any other piracy (as long as you can justify it) is acceptable... wait... only karaoke piracy used in a show is bad... the stuff at home is acceptable... or was it karaoke piracy bought in other countries is ok but not if you bring it back home... oh and I didn't hijack this thread... go back on the first page... you brought up people having to prove they are legal or own their stuff and how unethical they are (which had nothing to do with the original thread) and my first post on this topic was in response to your statement about proving what you own... the truth is out there...

Jesus, what's wrong with simply being with an American woman? Those kinds of comments make me want to puke. If you're dying to "adopt" all these young foreign females why don't you just go those countries where they might tolerate such disgusting intentions and be done with it. Don't make us sit and listen to it. Maybe Phill should create a pukey section for people to let loose with as many inane comments about women/girls/chicks/bxtches/ho's/hooha's with legs/breasts with legs as they want. Just don't make me have to sit here and come across it inadvertently.

Lyquidye, It looks like you have plenty of room on your table for a simple RSQ 222. one laptop can sit right on top of it.

I'm far behind you computer wizards.  still only have all original discs and manual players(No computers or burns). I think i have around 15,000 songs but i'm only updated to dec 2004.

If I were a KJ, and a customer's disk was bad, I would tell the customer his disk gummed up my player and he had to buy me a shot of gin so I could clean it :)

I can believe customers are shocked at the condition of their disks.  I have a son in law who rarely puts his CD's or DVD's in the cases, and then he wonders why, if he wants to use one of mine, I burn a copy for him to destroy LOL.

These are generally mix cd's I've made of my favorites of my regular listening music. Not Karaoke.  Luckily he KNOWS he can't carry a tune in a golden bucket.  But, it was the condition of the CD's I was referring to.

End ramble.
