By the way, my pic was taken during the one and only enjoyable Internet date I have ever had.  That is boat docks at Old Alexandria in Washington DC.  The Deleware River in the background.  We met in a casual diner, walked around Old Alexandria and couldn't keep our hands off each other.  Wound up in a hotel room within two hours.  Spent the weekend at her place.

But even that was REALLY STUPID.  On my drive back from Ohio, I was sobbing cause I missed her so much and realized it was stupid living so far away.  I went to a bar as soon as I got back to Cincinnati and drank so much that I got thrown out and sent home in a taxi.

Sad but true.

That is a sad story....I'm so sorry.  Well.....looking at your pic I would think you had the pick of the ladies right in your area.  

I tried Internet Dating right after my divorce.  Didn't meet my Prince Charming but I did make a couple of really good friends.  Had to meet a bunch of frogs though.  Just don't think I want to go that route again.   It's just too risky.  Half the time they don't even put up a recent pic of themselves.  You see a pic of a really nice looking guy and then when you meet him you realize he's 20 years older and 75 lbs fatter.  Not that I would mind that if they are just honest with you up front.

Sorry about your experience.  Hope you have found someone close by to share some time with.

ok so... fishin..
I went out in the boat a couple times in the last few days... didn't catch a freakin' thing, but holy smokes did we ever have FUN! we were out at midnight fishin for Pike and Walleye... out of the four of us.. only 1 fish was caught! !! quite the outdoorsmen, we are. here's some pics!:

Thank you Tennesee Girl.  My pic is from when I was 45.  I'm 48 now though I weigh less than I did then.  I stopped drinking and that has helped keep off the pounds.

I seem to be invisible to most people on this thread so I started a new one "First date...".  We can talk more about Internet dating on that thread.
