This looked like a pretty good amp for my home karaoke system. I see it going for about $300.  I'm not clear on what speakers I should get to match the amp. After reading the specs. 8 ohms, 4 ohms, etc was a bit confusing.  Ok. I thought I would do a little research on the web. I know what ohms is, but now I even more of a nut job and certainly more confused. :(

Can you please recommend some speakers?  Also I saw a thread about sub-woofers, do i need one?

This amp is not a bad amp. It does not like operating at 4 Ohms, it tends to over heat and shut down. Crown or QSC offeres more reliable amplifiers with much better warrentys. $300 for an amp that will last 1 year or $600 for an amp that is gaurenteed to last for 6.

For home use with a decent set of speakers with 15's there is no need for a sub.

I would reccomend a Set of JBL M-pro 215 or 415 it all depends on how much you would like to spend.

How long have you had your Behringer AMP?   I was actually looking at one of their units as the price was pretty good $249 for an amp that pushes 300watts per side @ 8ohms.  Just to have to back up my Peavey  in the event of an emergency.

I have had a EP1500 and a EP2500 for about a year now and have been using the 2500 on a 4 ohm load, 2 - Behringer  B1520's per side for as long as I have had them. The EP1500 has been used on 2 - B1800X subs, it is Bridged on a 4 ohm load and I run them to max for 4 to 5 hours a Night 3 nights a week. The Amps do heat up run in Mono Bridged mode but I have never had the 2500 heat up run in stereo on a 4 ohm load per side. I love them and have ordered another EP2500 to run my new Subs.

I have had an ep2500 for I guess 6 months I used it once and it has been sitting in the not in use storage room, since it shut down on me. I may send it out with the second system but I'll stick with my crown amps.

Send it back for warranty repair and then put it on E-Bay, those amps are selling like hot cakes.
