I had a request to sing this song the other day and I only have 2 versions
DK and SGB ..Both I thought were horrible  so I thought I would upgrade with a Soundchoice version.. One problem --It's not available on a CUSTOM it is available on one of the foundations or bricks  but I don't want to spend $100+ just to uprade one song.  It IS available on a Zepplin only disc by Soundchoice but again I prefer not to spend $26 for a disc of one song I wanted ( Not that Zepplin only is bad I just don't have many requests for other Zep songs)

So my choices are
Music Maestro
Legends
Sunfly
Song Factory
Top Tunes

Any experience with these ? Or do I suck it up and get the SOUND CHOICE?

Side note ---DID you see the sales over at K dot com?  You can get some DK series discs at $7.66 each

I have it on Pioneer - pretty good version & on Sound Choice - my next choice.  Haven't been impressed with MM, Legends or Song Factory.  Haven't heard Sunfly (not always very good though) or the TT (another hit or miss manu).

it's also available on the sc8437, still commercially available at doowop.com for $22.99!

Song Factory is the same DK tracks redone to different graphics.

Legends and Sunfly are notoriously hit and miss...

I've heard the Legend version - barely acceptable - but it passes.  Legend is so odd - some of their stuff is great - some of it is crap.

Matt

Thanks I forgot to check doowop.  Placed the order today for the Soundchoice
disc of all Zepplin. I guess I can't go wrong with a quality disc of some old time
rock!   The best is the price is DELIVERED.

I could've gone with a $7 lesser quality disc but there are just SOME classics that need to sound the best can be !

Thanks for everyones input !

Could have got it for $16.95 - but then you would've needed to get 12 discs for that price with free shipping from karaoke.com PLUS if you are on the mailing list, should have a 20% off coupon on top of that which breaks the individual disc price down to  $13.33 per disc or $1.12 per song for 180 songs.
Pretty good if you needed to do a big quality buy on a budget.

I checked k.com, and the only SC disc it was on was the foundation 2 set...

I would have gone with an advertiser here, but I didn't see it on the sponsors sites... I checked there first.

A sample of the Sunfly version is at mycdg.com.  The beginning sounds very good.  Can't tell anything about the heavy metal stuff in the song.  And I'm not entirely sure the custom cdg would have the same cut as a standard cdg.

I was very pleased with the custom Sunfly cut of "Good Times, Bad Times."  The guitar was pretty close to Page's guitar.

there are NO differences on custom discs vs standard discs only that they are legal burned discs, with inkjet ink on the cdrs... so they're more fragile!

The music and graphics are the SAME!

I own 13 of the suckers now! Terrific ways to plug single holes in the library!

You know there is something else I just found out about custom disks that I kind of like.  I suppose many of you already knew it.  If all my songs are on one disk, I can change among my favorite songs to suit the mood of the crowd right when it's my turn to sing.  Without major hassle to the KJ.

The Sound Choice disc of Led Zeppelin arrived and I have to say is very good
10 times better than the SGB version I have.  Seems they even recorded in a true stereo effect like the original songs .. Thanks  to all ..Good choice
