I thought I would tell you I just changed out my Drivers in My Behringer B1800X Subs, they were still good but I decided to get more bang for the Buck so I got a set of Eminence Sigma Pro's 18" 650 watt RMS and they were rated at 3db SPL higher than the ones in My Behringers, as well as the originals had pressed steel baskets and the new ones are Cast Frame. Well as everyone has always said 3db equals double the volume, Holy Crap!!! You were right on the money. They knock you over now and I haven't even gotten in the new amp to drive them, the new amp will put out a 1000 watts more power. I won't be running the new amp up to it's rating as I can't see I will be needing to. Those Eminence Speakers Rock!!!!!
Thanks for the help .....  :handshake: Shane

Great!

Just for grins, check the T/S parameters that came with the new drivers and see what size box works best with them....It might turn out that you can add some cubic volume absorbing wood to the inside to tune the cabs to the drivers....Maybe the cabs are already the best size, you won't know until you do the calculations.....If the cabs need to be bigger to really tune them, there ain't much you can do tho.

Oh yeah those Eminence speakers are killer for replacements.  Yamaha uses those for their Club Series as well (along with a few others).

When I get some time I will build some boxes for them and put them in them. The recomended size is a little larger than the Behringer Boxes and the new box should give them more punch. I just used them today at an outdoor event, we ran them for 8 hours Karaoke and DJ with alot of Rap songs for DJ and the young kids 18 to 20 years old loved the new subs. You could make thier ears bleed and it wouldn't be to much for them.

Great!

Yep, the kids get up close to suck up the bass and duck the horns...Us older folks drift toward the rear where we can lose some of the bass and still hear the horns. LOL

 I am still young enough so I like the bass, that is the kick drum. Not as keen on the rumble you can get from Bass Guitar. :dancin:
