We cannot access your board without  using an indriection service. What gives?
We have set our security  to medium. A few days ago we added you as a trusted connect and that cured the problem Have you added other security software and IP scanning that is blockng our server from normal access. I can log on from France, or Germany, or New York, but when we use the same browser (standard) are you and or random IP as per cable service we have, it will not connect. Are you trying to drop extra cookies or eavesdropping software on our machine.

We do not have trouble with any other site on the net except for this and mister-bs. So what has changed that is messing up our connect.

I spoke to the owners of this site yesterday and they are mystified as to why we are having problems accessing the site. So far we are the ONLY ones who cannot even connect normally to this site. Seby has been offline for 5 days. We have been told that they are switching serves which should have already been done by Friday. The site is so large that it has to be moved in sections and still must propagate over the net.

We cannot stream music at a listenable speed and the lag is very bad. I have to go through Germany to access by anonymous IP. It makes no sense to me at this point. The owners of the site told that perhaps once the site is moved to a new server the problem will resolve itself.

So, we are having a hard time commenting on your subs because the stream is so lagged we can hardly hear them. The mystery is WHY by coming in from a different location and theoretically different machine do we have no problem.

frustrated and will still put his sub anyway

Well ya spoke to me regarding this - I don't know if you spoke with the owners also???

Anyway - as far as I can figure there is something either with your ISP or your network access that is causing the problem.

Currently we are in the middle of attempting to move Karaoke Scene and all affiliated sites over to a new server. I am uncertain as to whether or not this will fix your problems. As you stated, the sites are extremely large and consist of multiple scripts and files, further the site rely heavily on the database to drive it. This is anther trouble that we ar erunning into. Trying to move a site that is so popular around the globe and finding a time where there is "downtime" or a "slow" period.

We may have to take the site offline in order to accomplish the transfer! We are looking at conducting this on Sunday... I will let you know as we progress...

Additionally, I spent a good portion of yesterday tracing someone who was running scripts attempting to access the site administrative areas... Management tried to reach me several times I know... (Sorry was busy working on things )

I am hoping that with the transfer to the new server this will reduce the attempts from outside sources causing havoc on my servers! New Firewalls have beeen installed and anyone found attempting to access the site improperly will be automatically refused and placed on a BAN list and blocked from further access...

NOTE: This may have happened to you JVJ - if somehow your network has access scripts running and you attempt to enter the site with these in operation - it may have automatically blocked you! I cannot provide further details on this new server feature.

Okay, to the best of my knowledge we are not running any scripts. We are running cleans on all our systems. There is a possibility that spyware is the cause of this. Let's see what we can do from this end. Sorry to be a pain, but it is a pain for us at well.

We, of course have no interest in entering your admin areas, but it is possible someone has and is 'messing with our accounts." We have a few solutiions for this.
Thank you for your time Phil. We just miss SS and you have to admit it is possible that your new "firewall" has labeled our machines and is blocking them. That seems to be the only answer. We will have Mel log in from a few miles away on another system. It she cannot, then our systems are being specifically targeted.

One reason you may not have other users complaining is because they are blocked. If they are blocked as we are and did not have the resources to log in from anywhere in the world, then how could they complain?

At this point, since we have triple cleaned our machine and network, it would appear that your newly installed firewall is blocking our specific machine. It is possible when we switch to our new satellite system, this block which is instant and total with no warning, will not prevent us from accessing our account.

I would like to restate the point, if other users cannot log in and they are blocked, they have no way to even send you a complaint or report the problem. Please recheck for a specific block. Do you want us to generate a routing trace?

If, in fact, they are blocked, they can (and do) call our office at (714) 826-2212. There is always a way to alert us to your problems.

Thank you. We have written down the number. We sure like this place and much like when we lost our internet for a few days, especially Seby suffers KS withdrawal.
We understand the need for security and so forth. My sincere apologies to the users who listened to my newest sub SuzieQ and were so nice and yet I cannot listen to your subs until we iron this out.

Phil is the guru and perhaps you could call us on the phone and arrange a test where we try to log in normally and he can tell us what is happening. We could do this at a precise minute EST both by direct login and by indirect and find out why
I am able to be typing this. I am sure the code in this place is horrific and it is the slickest Karaoke site on the net.

Saw where you were having problems accessing the site, JVJ.  

I've been accessing the site fine for the past few days.  Actually the site is faster than it was a few weeks ago when it was so slow.

Hope you get your problem worked out but I just saw that you said other people might be having problems and thought I would let you know that I've had none.

we can now access this page without using the redirection. This is the only page on your site we can access including sub pages into other forums.  I am back on redirection. Seby still cannot access her account.  Seby cant' access this page either. Last night for some reason on the redirection from (I won't give service or country) was working like lightning with no problem.

I could listen to people's subs and even my own and so forth. We were getting bursts of up to 200 to 300.

We also be moving to a new location and server soon.

I have had the Network Operations Center, the actual Data Center and an associate - checking into this problem. It is apparently above and beyond my scope of comprehension. There are now five people working on this situation.

I have received numerous phone messages from the KS management to me stating that you have called them regarding this - I am working on the problem as I told you.

I am very busy with my Real Estate clients during this time of the year. What an inconvenient time for this problem to occur. Don't problems always pop up at the most in opertune times!!!

We delayed the transfer of the sites to the new server until we sort out the problem that you are experiencing.

Currently we cannot locate any problem with outside access. It must be your ISP (Internet Server Provider) or security software installed on your computer.

You may want to check and verify that you have cookies set. This site requires them.

So there you have it. The finger of God from some unknown source has zapped and now it works. I did call Charter a few minutes ago and with 3 minutes things suddenly work for access JUST TO YOUR SITE. Well, what's the old expression, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

And if you did finally fix on your end and it is something that is part of your protection for you site, then we need not know.

Thank you for working on it. I think we narrowd it down to some wierd thing due to Charter and West Virginia. So, back to .. um normal.

Ummmm............. I could not get to this site at all yesterday. It wasn't a login issue- I just could not reach the page, no matter how I tried getting here- or to the showcase.  I went to my sisters' company in town- same thing. "Page Not Found". And this morning at my job it was the same.

Now- I'm on here and I don't know what happened, but if you all fixed something - THANK YOU-  I was literally having a panic attack.  If I suddenly dissappear again- that may be why.  But I was totally thinking "NO.........why ME?"  

Just thought I'd pop in here, cause jvj- it doesn't seem that it was just you it happened to.  I don't know if that's the same prob you had, but it sounds like it.

Very strange???

It appears that there are certain ISPs that don't like KARAOKE! Ha ha

Heck I have no idea why anyone is experiencing troubles. I really wish I did then I might be able to fix it!

I spent numerous hours watching the server to see if I could see anything that seemed out of place and to watch what scripts were running. We have inserted some new technology on the server but it shouldn't prevent people from accessing the http - site area.

We still are planning the updates and site transfer for early tomorrow morning... 6AM- 9AM East Coast so if the site is unavailabel during that time you'll at least know that we are working on it!

Hmmmm.......... maybe I shoulda called all the ISP companies first and posed that question-  cause I sure wouldn't go with a company that doesn't like KARAOKE........ Why didn't I THINK of that, thank you Phil.   :rotflmao:

I'm just glad I'm back on. (hope it stays that way, that was scary for , like- a whole day.....)

Hi jvj... The only problem I have been having is intermittent lack of the player coming up on some folks, OR, even not being able to get a comment box up.. Any ideas as to what would cause that?? Let me know.. Thanxx
