i´m using power karaoke plus to create cd+g . i want to use an image as background, with the timed lyrics displayed over it. i created a text area and loaded my image as background. the result is very disappointing, because a mix of pixels from the image and the lyrics is displayed. the lyrics r not readable using this method. does anybody know if there is a proper way using an image as background in power karaoke plus or do i need any other tool for that?? or is my idea impossible on cd+g??

Cavs Cdg Sp player will put graphics over jpg or slides and play cd's or cdg or mcg files. It works good however this uses alot of computer resources. After building the cdg this might be the best way to go....

I am pretty pleased with karaoke builder (thanks knightshow) - though it took me a while to get going with it. I took a powerpoint slide show, converted the images (which include text) to bmps and then brought them into it, adding music and transition effects - basically to advertise bar specials, encourage participation and the like. Made a few for different venues. It's pretty nice, and inexpensive.

It is impossible to set background image in CD+G. You may define a frame, but lyrics have to be displayed over a solid color background. This is due to CD+G format limitation and no software will to do this.

CAVS player is a PC software -- it does not creates any files. The original poster was interested in CD+G creation software to make CD+G CD playable in regular CD+G player.
