Hey there,

I've been wanting to ask this for a while, but I keep forgetting to post about it! I've had several songs I've wanted to assign specific genres to, but they haven't been there to choose.

First one is swing - I've had to choose jazz because it's closest, but considering how many swing/big band subs there are, can we get a swing genre?

Second is new age - I recorded some Enya, and there's really no genre that even comes close to fitting it, so I had to choose "general." Any chance of including new age in the list?

Third was celtic, but I'd understand if that's too small of a niche to want to include.

Thanks! :)

I second the motion for the swing category.

I agree with swing/big band and also on a new age category.  I don't see it used much since most new age doesn't have lyrics, but enya doesn't fall anywhere else (except celtic) easily.

Of course I don't sub that often, and doubt if I'd sub any new age tracks but you never know!  I have done some swing at shows in the past and have been considering subbing a track or two.

Woohoo!

Well, if you're taking requests, I hope you might consider celtic and perhaps a capella?

The only other I've thought of that might be missing would be electronica (techno/trance). I know not many people do that genre, but I've been thinking of doing some lately and a genre for it would be nifty. ;)
