Ok, I downloaded the software and can play a track.  I can also record a separate audio track...Is there a way to play a music track and "sing along" to it?  I feel like I've tried clicking on every button I could find, tried reading the Help files and still can't seem to make a sub.   When I open up a new audio track to record, I can't hear the music track....it adds the vocal, but they're not syncronized since I couldn't hear the music as I was singing.  Does this make sense?  If anyone has any advice/directions on how to make my own little sub using Audacity and my pc, I'd sincerely appreciate it.  Thanks.

I dont quite understand what your problem is; but my understanding is that you have the backing track imported into track one and you press record to record into track two but there was no play back from track one which contain the backing track. Am I right?
If thats the case you may have press the Mute button one track one. Unmute it and you should have sound comeing from track one while recording on track two.
