yup, another Newbie here...been checking out the sight for the last week or two and I think it's fun and interesting.  I'm new to the karaoke scene and only recently started singing (about 5-6 weeks ago).  Almost at the point where I can sing in front of a crowd sober...not quite there yet.   If anybody knows of any good places to sing around the NW 'burbs of Chicago (I already haunt JB's and Bookers...which is now called "The Streets of Chicago" I believe...good name for a bar in Elgin...doh!), but am interested in exploring (when the wife lets me sneak out...).  Thanks.
