I would complain - with my wallet.  I'd go somewhere else.  I would make sure management knows.

At my regular spot they got an awful KJ that would do similar things.  Cut people out, chump singers, do 20 or 30 minutes of dance music with 15 or 20 people waiting to sing.

Finally after getting skipped twice my table of friends could take it anymore.  Then he was like, "no it's not your turn," I sit down my friend goes up and he cues up my song off of my custom disc - so no mistakes here.  My friend walks of stage and hands me the wireless.  I was done.

Told the manager and then the KJ came running over going, "what's going on."

I told him, "XXX you skipped me twice, everyone knew it."

He exploded at me, "well you come tell me if you have a problem.  I've been doing this for 15 years and I've never skipped you or anyone else before."

I told him calmly, "XXX you've skipped me and others plenty of times before, and look at how you're acting.  I'm the customer and you're yelling at me, and I told you tonight you skipped me."

I turned to the bar manager and said, "see, I'm telling you now XXXXX I'm voting with my wallet and as long as he is hosting here, I'm not coming back."

Six of us walked out - we never came back - within six weeks of this incident there were under 10 singers on a Saturday night - the bar was starving to death - by 12:30 PM there was no one in the bar.  It wasn't just me, he had run off just about everyone.  Upstaging them, singing along with them without asking, ugh, it was just freakin' awful.

So my suggestion to you, tell management, and find somewhere else to go.  If this how she operates she'll be flipping through the KJ wanted ads soon enough.

I guess making a "doodie" on the stage would be an immature reaction...and not very ladylike...and I guess sort of unfair to the other singers....ok, ok...I guess I'd just spend my time and money at a bar that had a more professional KJ.

That can and has happened. (Even to this old guy)

I put in a song slip, and the KJ says, "Oh, God how I hate that song".

Now the stage is set for me to have a real great time...

And Matt, she looked a lot like you..  (No offense)  LMAO

Anyway, the second song slip, she repeats: "That's the worst song ever".

Yes, I voted with my wallet...

I've never returned..

She can kiss my scapula.
