hey there
thanks for the welcome and the info, i am going to look into the blaze when i get home tonight,  i am still trying to get started on this recording to submit,  to much gardening to do i guess.  i did download krystal but haven't figured it out yet,  i hope blaze is easier for a first timer.  i really don't know what i'm doing with this.  i'm just getting used to hearing what i really sound like on tape.  its a wake up call for me.  so here's to california singing  :D

Hi again! On the simplest level, you can use Blaze by having the background music playiing loudly from some external source (like a nearby stereo) and then hitting the record button on Blaze and letting it record you singing to that music source.  If your music is on your computer, you could launch the program you use to play the music through your speakers and hit record on Blaze and sing along with that music. When you get more familiar with the software, you can have your music feed into one track (like the right track) and the record your voice on the left track and "mix" the two together. Doing that take some practice because you'll need to have your voice cued up properly with the music track or they'll be out of sync. It take practice and patience, believe me! But if you like a challenge and treat this singing and mixing as a hobby, then it can be great fun and very rewarding! Good luck!

I, too, am a newbie girlfriend!  It seems all us newbies are lost when it comes to all this recording hubabuloo.  I suggest all us newbies join together and share what we think is the easiest way to go about something so we can all learn together!

Looking forward to hearing all of you and making my first track!
