You can sub anything ya want in there for "stuff". I just hate being lied to and led on. HATE it. It's wrong and mean. And hurtful. And sucks. I was brought up to always do what I say I'll do, which leads to me always wondering why some (a lot of) people feel no need to do such in their lives.

TIG!!! :D

So... why not just spill? We need the drama heheheh

Who dumped on ya?? what happened? We want DIRT!!! ;) lol

Can we replace the meaning of "stuff" with our own word that fits well there?

been BUSY!!! so much so I haven't been able to record myself or do much of anything other than WORK, WORK, and more WORK.

finally, that's all starting to dwindle down a bit, and I'm becoming a regular 40 hr a week slob again.

I did take a few days to drop into Las Vegas.

I know what you mean, Tigger. I think people MEAN to do the things but they get so busy, or they put a low priority on things. I'm sure we have all been guilty from time to time of doing what you describe.  Try running my web site! I have a lot of volunteers for my TV site and they are told up front what is required, and they agree to it...then they slack off, or worse, they never email me and just quit without replying to emails.  I think that's SO rude.  At least if you are going to decide you don't have enough time for something you committed to, have the courtesy to email the person and quit.  People are cowards, I guess.  Worse are the people who agree to do something for you and then act like, since they are doing you a favor, they can cop a prima donna attitude.  You should treat every important task like a paying job, whether it is or not (especially if other people are involved).  It may be unrealistic, though, to expect that of people, especially when you can't yell at them face to face.

I understand what you mean Tig! I was raised to always keep my word. I always have tried to do exactly what I say I will do. Sometimes, if something is taking me longer than I expected, I will communicate with the other person or people involved. I will appologize and try to give them some indication as to when they can expect me to take care of completing something they are waiting on.  That is the way I am, however, I have lived long enough to know not everyone lives by that same rule! I have never been too trusting of anyone! Maybe that is because I found it much safer to always be on my guard.  If someone keeps their word to me, I am happy. If they dont, then I am not too awful surprised! lol I would love to think the best about people all the time but I do realize people are just human! Sometimes good intentions never get the job done! :)

Tigger, I'm truly sorry I never got a chance to rip my CDG's so I could get you some backings that you requested.  Shortly after we talked I ended up leaving my computer job, searching for another job, and am now bartending (and loving it).  My fiance moved 120 miles away and I try to get down to see her every couple weeks when I can.  I'm also trying to finalize the wedding plans for October which eats up a lot of my time.

If my failure to follow through upset you I wish you had let me know.  I talked with you a little about it but then it sort of got dropped.  I do have a large number of tracks coming in shortly on Super CDG that I'll just need to change from MCG to CDG (I have the convertor).  I do need to get another drive to put them on though.  I'm running out of drive space!  With over 200GB of legal MP3's I've eaten up the better part of 2 large hard drives and need to get another large drive to put my CDG's on once I get them ripped.  BTW, I'll have a LOT more backing tracks shortly... something to the tune of about 20,000 total but I'll have to send you a new list.

BTW, I also promised a web page which I haven't gotten around to putting together yet either.  It was shortly after you joined the forum where I said I'd try to put together some information on recording and basic information on equipment.  I said I'd do it when I got some time - which I haven't gotten yet... but I did say I'd do it one day!

Ok, so I'm slime.... I'm really sorry slime....  please forgive me tigger (and everyone else)... and if you had forgotten that I had promised this stuff, uh, this has all been a dream, a really crazy dream, that never happened....

BTW, this sort of explains why I've been late recently with the genre of the week postings.  When I go down to see her I don't usually have internet access and don't come back until Wednesday morning when I have to be at work.
