So much of what people would think are foreign foods are american. Pizza, alot of the "chinese food" too. Chinese people wouldn't touch alot of these foods because of how rich these foods are. Just american foods.
(incidently the heading of this thread is German for "Your shoelaces are untied")

All I caught out of that was 'April Fool's' (Dummkopftag being "dumb" or "fool").
I lived in Germany for 3 years between the ages of 4 and 7. According to my parents, I could "pretend" German-speak very well. Couldn't understand a lick of it. We lived in a little German town called Hundheim next door to this really nice, old man named Rudolph. He and his wife had lots of animals running around the yard. He would always call me and my friend over to his garage when he saw us outside playing. He was a carpenter and had all these wooden contraptions sitting in there. He'd speak German to us, and all we could do was nod and smile. And then he'd hold out a bag full of candy for us to dig through. I miss German candy and chocolate. It was soooooo good.
