I have a Peavey SP115M it has a 15" black widow, it stopped working, took close look the paper around the voice coil is ripped almost all the way around, I don't know how this happened.....I don't have much experience with repairing peavey speakers....I've read they have field replacement baskets..does this mean the entire speaker or ? any idea where I can buy the part.....thanks

I have replaced many baskets.

All you have to do is remove the grill, and take the screws out that holds the speaker in, then inplug the wires (notice which is + and - best I remember, they are not red & black).
after you have the speaker in hand, unbolt the magnet from the basket and take it to your local dealer. we have 3 in New orleans that stock baskets. Baskets come with instruction as to the cleaning an reinstallation. usually run about 60-85.00 depending on size. the 18" is the 85.00 ones.

Go to Peavey.com & order the part number #00457690.  This is the basket for your speaker.
http://peavey.com/products/browse.cfm/action/detail/item/103410/number/00457690/cat/235/begin/1/1508-8+HE+BWX+RB.cfm

Replacing these are a snap.  It gives full instructions that even a child can do it.  Peavey is one of the best in the respect of being able to change a blown cone in a matter of minutes.
