I don't even know what we're talking about here anymore. Since this thread has been off track for a long time we can as well start talking about anything now.

To knightshow: Feel free to comment on anything. Why would I post publicly if I wasn't ready to get comments? Why would I tell you not to post? I know you've been here a long time and I hope you don't need to refer to that to make your point. Of course you have a right to your opinion and to tell it to everyone, even though it was wrong I was a bit tired last night by the way, so I'll have to correct my earlier words: "The only thing I MIGHT get upset about, IF ANY, are the sarcastic comments etc...".

To those who wonder: I think 8.3 is a good rank! That was not the point here but then again, what was anyway? (I have to keep this topic here just out of curiosity to see if some of you will still pick it up for future posts )

To those who have contributed their comments on me without fully reading or understanding my previous messages, it's alright, it won't make you worse as human beings

Well, of course I can tell you, Jee, that 'sniper' ratings go both ways. Retaliation ranking has been done to me quite a few times (and I'm not talking about Brett & Missy here), but I don't think it's that big of a deal. The ranking thing also flows in the other direction (as we all know) and there are clusters of folks here who consistantly give each other 10s (you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours).

Such things will always be. Heck you should have seen the nuclear explosion that occured when *I* gave someone a low rank one time, and no comment.  :shock: Of course, that was after someone else had advised me to use that method to prevent 'hurt feelings', but it was a mess. I went back and added my comment and have not done that ever since. This guys must be new... he will learn not to rank with no comment fairly quickly.

Of course, I find it irritating when folks leave 'nice' comments and rank low... (that's the most common 'snipe') but it's not going to end the world or anything.

Yea well, I think this particular case that happened to me may have been about retaliation. I thought about that because obviously it's always interesting to know a cause for any reaction. I left my comments to this guy and ranked him how I normally do (it was not even a low rank by the way). I suppose it wasn't enough for him However, if I see more of his subs later, I'll be as honest with both rank and comments as I was the first time. Revenge is not really a part of my personality

If someone says "I'll come over and give you a ten" I tell them please don't if you don't really feel it's worth that much. What I'm trying to say here and what I already mentioned earlier, all I look for is honesty both ways and luckily enough, I've been able to enjoy quite a lot of that at SS so far!

Btw, I didn't mean to start any explosion. There just seems to be people here that like to make the smallest things sound like the end of the world Remember Seby, besides that it's forbidden here to talk about ratings of SS, also no maths on the forums, ok?

Now, let's all try to move on, huh? This thread was a weird idea from the getigo... like Seby said, there will ALWAYS be retalitory ratings. There will always be idiots that feel that they have to reign on your parade.

I gave someone a 1 one time. and they fricken deserved it. Another time, I gave someone a six, and everyone else was giving them a ten... I was going "are my speakers broken?? Cause this is NOOO ten."

Finally, I just gave up on the ratings system.

Um, doesn't that basically sum up just about everybody to an extent?

Actually, you're new here so you don't know all the history of the drama, but most people here are just kind of burnt out on the whole issue. That's probably why you're getting some flack.

Oh, and I LOVE good sarcasm.
