Jee, I see. Since I've never actually entered anything into the showcase. I don't have the ability to rank, and see these details from the perspective of those of you at the receiving end of this type of situation

Stevie, Is it because you did not sub that you cant rank? just wondering. Hey you can sub an insrumental track of yours with spoken words and that will count as a sub. At less we can hear your g'tar plying style. What say you Stevie.

yes, they changed it. You have to be a paid member now to be able to rank. That's actually not a bad develpment in my opinion although it doesn't seem to filter out all the trolls anyhow!

Crys, relax! I don't do all those calculations on each of my subs. This time there was a reason to think a bit further as you may have noticed! I wouldn't care less about hand-calculating anything these days (since I have both a computer and a calculator for that) but had to show Deb how it breaks down!
If you need any of my maths services tho, I'll be here, just ask

next time I need to find out who it was that brought my damn rank from a 9.6 to a 9.4 I'll be sure to give u a call... can't have someone doing such damage to a "my-whole-life-depends-on-this" rank now can I?

hence the ranking.
hence the analysis of how that ranking works...
hence the over-analyzation of how it breaks down mathmatically... and gave me a headache trying to sort it all out...

Crys, my overall rank that consisted of about 100+ comments came down from 9.2 to 8.3 after 4 comments from the same person.
I may be over-reacting here. I contributed to this Sniper's thread because I had an experience. I couldn't care less on my part, OK!!

Whatever, man!
I choose to be ranked because it's fun to rank other people so I let them rank me. Also it's valuable to me to get any rank and comments that have grounds. In this case no grounds were given to a significant contribution of rank. Sorry for bringing this up and giving you a headache. Next time I'll make sure to pm you if I write something like this so you can avoid it, fair enough?
This thread's made me really tired... gotta lay down I guess!

Jee, this wasn't personal... I just find it incredibly funny that you guys put yourselves out there for ranking, and then get upset when someone comes along and gives you less than you feel you deserve. I have only heard a HANDFUL of tens on here in my time on the showcase...
So WHAT if this guy gave you less? Maybe, just maybe, he felt TRULY that you didn't deserve it. Maybe he's into other types of music. Maybe he likes originality or the song to be done TO THE LETTER of the other. Maybe, just maybe, he's got a specific taste, and is judging people accordingly.
PERSONALLY, I feel if you're going to rank, you should be forced to leave a comment up of up to 50 characters or more... but that's more coding for Phill...

The only thing I get upset about are the sarcastic comments from you guys with probably just partial knowledge of the earlier thread even. This most likely makes the more serious people feel that you support disturbing behavior more than normal behavior at SS. I'm sure you guys don't care what those serious people think nor what is said at the C song feedbacks but is this boiling really necessary? I mean if it is, tell me which part of it.
I wish I had all that time to myself that you guys seem to have. Hopefully I won't have to reply any more of your sarcastic comments in this thread anyways.
