Here are two from my second marriage....although we're not together anymore... some things are for the best.....

Never been married...

but i have been skydivin´....hmm...that was random...i shall go on a hunt and find those pics...

I never had a wedding ...never went to the prom either... *sigh* but I enjoyed all the pic's....  :D All of you's goils look gorgeous!!!

Most of the really good pictures were on regular film and I don't have a scanner so...

Great pictures, everybody!

My husband and I were very poor when we got married (in 1982) and we were about to move to New York from San Diego.  So we didn't have a big wedding or fancy clothes.  I bought a new white (short) dress and he just wore one of his regular jackets (it was corduroy, left over from the 70's).  We got married at the courthouse in Vista and then his mom had a small party for us.

We both look completely different now.  He gained a little more weight and then lost 60 lbs. and has kept it off.  Of course his hair is shorter and greyer (mustache is completely white). I gained the weight he lost and my hair is a little shorter.

In the second pic, it is a terrible pic of him but a really great one of me

hehe.. I see "YOUR" wedding pic's in the subject.. but that isn't going to happen .. Not "my" pic's - mine, although we are still together, really was NOT what every girl dreams about...

but here's a couple I dug out when I was looking for my kid pictures. I was a flower girl in a wedding in 1978. I would have been 6yrs old .

I know !!! I was noticing that myself the other day ~~  I actually wasn't "visably active" 'till around Thanksgiving time ~~  did a lot of listening and reading for quite a while before joining in!!  LOVE it here now, though.  

I'm waiting for the  :drums:  :drums:  :drums: ..... and the appearance of my first STAR in 6 days !!  Whoooooohoooooo!!!  :dancin:

Thanks, CC.   I made the dress.  In fact, I made the costumes for the entire wedding party.  I found some more pictures showing the rest of the clothes and my horse, which I rode to the alter.  That's my oldest son giving me away.  The other 2 are my kids, too.

And the last 2... The maid of honor with the flower girl, and the guy in the burgundy jacket?  Well, that's the groom.

I've never been married either... but I was IN a wedding once.  I was a bridesmaid for my first cousin's first marriage.  These were taken August 8, 1981.  I would have been 7.  The first one is the bride and me.  The second one really made me sad when I went hunting for these.  The older woman is my Aunt (bride's mother) who passed away suddenly and for no apparent reason almost 4 years ago.  I miss her.  :(



Take a look at my face in the second one.  I was NOT a happy bridesmaid.  I don't know what was wrong with me, but I was clearly pouting about something.  The little flowergirl in the background is one of my 2nd cousins.

I love theme weddings, too...my husband would NEVER have gone for that, !!

Was that an SCA wedding or just a regular ol' medieval theme just for the wedding?

It was not SCA, they have too many rules and I wanted it my way, .  We had a female Justice of the Peace who agreed to be called the High Preistess, and we wrote are own vows.  We actually called it a handfasting and did the ribbon and gifts to each other thing.  We do get involved in some SCA things, my husband is a rapier fighter in the kingdom of Ramsgaard.  We've had a couple SCA dinners in our local town and we usually go to the big Clinton festival which is only about an hours drive.  The theme was his idea. but I thought it was pretty cool.  We still get people telling us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!
