Even if I submitted to this new Karaoke section. I'm sure I'd end up sounding like the Horses @@&.
A lip synching category perhaps ? I can submit some Wishbone Ash, and Uriah Heep.

Speaking of Bluesmen, I have a better idea. A much more practical way for we veteran guitarists to channel our energy than critique. Those of us who've been playing for years, and then along comes a kid like Jonny Lang, Eric Gale, KWS, Joe Bonnamossa who after playing for two years make some of us want to burn our guitars, and break their teenage fingers..... (Ah forget it...%*#(@^)

LmAo!!!
(picturing packs of disgruntled 'veteran' musicians prowling the streets... 'alternative' kids hiding behind trash bins, shaking in fear of losing their fingers...) ol

Seby. These aren't the alternative kids. These are VERY gifted young teens, who just pick up things VERY quickly. Classic styles of Blues and Rock. They seem to be able to do in 3-5 years. what some of us never could /will do.
Which is why I think their fingers should be broken

Well now Steven... would you rather let those 'inherit the earth' who can barely play a chord on an electric guitar??
Come on now... be a good boy... let go of that young guy's neck... he's turning purple...

It's okay Steve. I want you to work with us and have been trying to contact you about the keyboard thing. I do not worry about the guitarists. I have been playing since 5 years old, and I just haven't whipped out the strat and subbed any Hendrix riffs lately, Jeff Beck, or Eric Clapton.
So you better limber up those fingers. Time to get psyched up, do some originals and feel the force of 30,000 screaming people in your face. Shows him little glowing blue elixir bottle. I gotta secret.
What do you think? Do I look happy enough now? Do I look like I belong on the Waltons? Look at that smile. Are you in shell shock? Like totally scary not.
Rock until you drop brother. Ever notice in teen movies how the parents are always uncool, retarded, and just NEVER understand.
forever young and not worthy

I agree !
(now can I break their fingers ?)
Then there's my 15 year old nephew, Jazz guitarist in a world touring HS jazz band
"Hall High" Jazz ensemble W. Hatfd CT. (I tought him initial blues stuff so naturally he deserves to be a top notch musician.) Now the kid probably smokes me
What happened to the good old days when kids were cutting classes and killing brain cells ? What's wrong with some of these protege's ? When they grow up they will have to live with the fact that they wasted their youth having a skill !!!

Well, now we have the good new days where kids are cutting classes and burining up their brain cells with Meth and other drugs. Heroin seems to be a winner for the New York, and music super star crowd.
News flash here, which I think will change the musical world and that is that progress is being made in reversing aging. This is not a for here topic, but look forward to getting some of those nuerons fixed - the ones that may have been plexifused in the 60s and having experience as well as youth. The dream of many great men and women for thousands of years.
What is chilling is that many singers may, despite total regeneration still be singing flat, because they probably have since their teens, and when they reach 436, they still will be.
