Hi,
I am trying to create a cdg for a trivia game.  Questions would be put on a cdg so I could play them on my cdg player.  Can anyone tell me how this could be done.
It would be great if the questions could be accessed like song tracks.  Question 1 is on track 1, question 2 is on track 2 etc.

I had been looking at the VocoPro DVM 100g because it has an input for a computer keyboard that would allow me to type in the questions and them appear on the monitor.  If there is another product like that, it would work as well as creating a
text cdg.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Well,................MTU makes "Karaoke Home Producer" that you can use to write the lyrics/graphics for homemade karaoke tracks.....It would serve the purpose perfectly.

That is, as long as you want to shell out 89 bucks for it.

There might be another program that would work that's free.

With MtU KHP you can add audio traks, so imagine how cool it would be for your guestions to appear as onscreen text with your voice reading the question!.

If your homemade triva game had strict time limits allowed for the answer, then just record silence for that many seconds after the question is posed and then voice and text the answer on the screen......Then end the track....That would allow you to have one question with long pause and the answer per track.

You could record each question and answer as one track and save them as KMA files in a huge library that you could then select from to build each triva session "playlist".

You can create your own little jingle for the count down ( kinda like Jepordy)
let us know how it turns out ...

there are a few programs like DART, Karaoke Builder Studio, Power Karaoke, etc... but they are ALL pretty expensive.

I will 2nd the karaokebuilder.com (right Matt?) suggestion.  That is a nice program and you could important something like a powerpoint presentation with your trivia text pretty easily to make a CDG.  I don't recall it being very expensive.

Some company had a few pre-made trivia discs, but I think they were from across the pond - probably wouldn't be familiar with us homelanders.  Great idea though.
