BERLIN, Conn. (Feb. 10) - After a yearlong fight with the town, a bar is going ahead with a plan to have patrons belt out ballads in the buff. On Saturday night, the Berlin Station Cafe is scheduled to hold its controversial "Naked Karaoke" event.

The bar has been under fire ever since co-owner Marty St. Pierre put up a fake sign advertising the event as a joke more than a year ago. The establishment's neighbors called Town Hall to complain, and St. Pierre was told he could face fines or arrest if he operated the naked musical performance without a permit.

But St. Pierre's business partner David Koskoff, who is also an attorney, sued the town in March, claiming that the ordinance was illegal, and the owners won their lawsuit.

"Now we're just fulfilling," St. Pierre said. "It's a completely voluntary activity. It's not like I'm paying people to do karaoke with clothing optional."

St. Pierre said 120 people have signed up for "Naked Karaoke" on Saturday night, but he is unsure of how many people will actually show up and bare all.

! I'm not in Connecticut... I'm in Los Angeles.. I just saw the story in the news .. felt it was interesting to say the least, and posted for all to see.

Well, I have never gone to karaoke before.. but, this would tempt me:)

At least, i wouldn't be nervous about SINGING:)

but, I have a feeling, I woudln't be keeping my eyes on the words.

The gentleman who put on the naked karaoke was on talk radio the other day.  Of the 120 people who signed up (his sign up consisted of him badgering the crowd for a month before the date to get people in a book) 2 actaully showed up to do naked karaoke.  They were a nudist couple in their early 50s.  The guy insists that naked karaoke will continue at his bar on the last Friday of every month, but it doesn't sound like it was as exciting as it may sound.  Just an update!!
