OK so I'm wanting to get the Numark CDN25+G. I'm also knowing that I'm going to need an external digital key controller.

Anyone have any experience using one such as the vocopro KCVPO 100?
And if so can you educate me as to how you integrated it into your set up.

I have no idea if it hooks up through the mixer, the amp, or what.

I personally am using the following for my KJ/DJ set up.

Mackie 1220 ONYX mixer
Crown CE 1000 Amp
Aphex 204C Sonic Maximizer

So out of the mixer in to the Aphex out of the Aphex into the Amp.

I also use two Alesis 3630 compressors on all 4 mic inputs, so all 4 direct in's on the board are being used. Both aux sends on the board are being used for effects so I have no available aux send or returns.

All connections used between mixer, aphex and amp are XLR balanced which is kind of what concerns me about the key controller as in's and out's on it are described as being RCA.

Common sense would tell me that the only thing the Key Controller would need to be connected to would be the Numark CDN25? So out of the Numark into the vocopro key controller out of the controller into the board?

Help!

That's right. Vocopro key controller is connected between the player and the board. But dude, if you have such a good setup as you're telling, I would not use DKC-100 because it's quite crappy. You should rather invest in Vocopro's KC-300 which is way better.

The DKC100 also only handles 1 source. The Numark has 2 sets of outputs so you are only going to benefit from the key changer on 1 half of the player only. The KC300 has mulitiple source inputs.
