I do the contest thing not because it's so much fun.. it's as nerve wracking as it gets. But that's kind of why I do it. Once a year I have to give a speech in front of 500+ people and I shake and sweat buckets standing up on stage to do it.
I figure singing in front of people is harder for me than talkin is soo.. if I can get up in a contest under that kind of pressure then my speech will be easier. It actually was last fall when I had to do the speech and even though people never believed me before when I said how nerve wracked I'd get before the speech, they commented that they saw a difference in it.
My hubby thinks I'm crazy for going into contests. But oh well. I've been called worse things than crazy before
