I am looking to get a pair of speakers for karaoke. My room is about 13'x17'. Is 10" enough? Any recommendation? Thanks.

Depends a lot where you live. If there's no worry about disturbing your neighbours, you can get bigger gear. But let's suppose you don't want to upset anyone. I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor and I have chosen a subwoofer and two satellite speakers (Alto, PAM-5) for myself. I think this is one of the best solutions for both singing at home and any other basic use you may think of.
