Don't ask me why but one of my regulars has asked if
the song by Donny & Marie is on CDG-

I'm A Little Bit Country - I'm A little bit Rock & Roll

I've searched all my regular sites for that song and artist and came up empty.  > Not sure if there are any obscure secret websites I might be missing. I'm not even sure Donny & Marie are the orginal Artists? or That is even the TITLE?

Any Help would be appreciated  :D

Well, I don't think of Marie as "country" either.

But I do know what I remember seeing... and Donny could be a rocker if he wanted to.

I'm wondering what "Rock" genre of music refers to. 50's up until Alternative ? Yet we see Nirvana still categorized at times as "rock". It's a pretty ambiguous term now-adays, yet just how ambiguous ? I have no idea. I always assumed Popular music was the broader category. It included all styles, oldies, and contemp music alike. In fact only styles I didn't ever think of as "popular" would've been certain styles of Jazz, and classical. Than Boston "pops" came along, and I had to question that as well. It appears from compiled lists of "Top 500 rock songs", and this type of discussion, that I have NO concept of what "Rock" means any longer. Is it a style of music ? or a time period ? Both ?

Than there's the category of "Metal", I won't even begin to try to figure out how many dramatic adjectives synonymous with the term "death" have been used to give this genre a placing in the "different" realm.

:grumble: (I feel like Andy Rooney)

Shortly after Donny had that hit in the early 90's my roommate said Donny would be cool if he started hanging with a cool rock band - like Metallica. 10 minutes later we see a picture of Donny Osmond hanging with Metallica on MTV. He didn't know what to say.... I still find it hilarious...
