Hi all,
I'm currently adding to my CAVS collection and was wondering if anyone owns this disc? And :o is it worth the investment quality sound wise.

I'm also considering the Chart Buster Essential 450 vol 2. Any feedback
from you Cavs owners would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't use the Chartbuster as a core myself, there are much better out there that you may consider Sound Choice (even the SuperCore is a ok for a starter set) - true they may be a little more pricy now, but figure you will probably want better later, don't just buy to have - save up & get quality first. But that's just me!

Its illegal to download Sound Choice into a CAVS. Chartbuster country is fine but their pop songs are brutal. The DK Millenium is a super starter set.

It's illegal to download Sound Choice into CAVS?!?!?! Really? Why is that...don't own a CAVS system but wouldn't even think that if I hadn't just read that.

Agreed on ChartBusters - GREAT Country/Western, IMHO the best, even a slight edge over Sound Choice.

The Sound Choice is the best foundation, but very expensive. SuperCore isn't that bad, but the offering is thin. If you're budget minded, but keep in mind you'll field complaints, Sweet Georgia Brown 66 disc pack or the BackStage Karaoke sets are toward the bottom of the pile, but acceptable.

Stay away from NuTech...YECK!

When I called Sound Choice about format shifting they didn't have a problem with it as long it was a 1:1 ratio. Either you allow format shifting o you don't.

The problem is they don't support CAVS, and have even taken steps to prevent CAVS from being able to read the disc information into the player (through multisession recording, etc). If you tell them you have a CAVS player they wont' even talk with you. Illegal? No. But don't expect any help from them making it work.

I have the Magic Tracks Super CDG. All it is is Sweet Gorgia Brown put into SCDG format. The chartbusters are ok. Supercore has an SCDG out there check E-Bay once and a while you can usually find it priced decent. I have also talked to Sound Choice and as long as it is a 1:1 ratio they do not care how you play it.

There seems to be some confusion. You're asking about SuperCDG sets (assuming you meant the SCDG version of the Charbuster); did you mean songs to download onto a hard-drive-based CAVS player like the JB-199, or just SuperCDG music to build a system around a SuperCDG-compatible CAVS player?
