Yup... I know what ya mean, Deb. I remember when "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" .... was popular. Michael Bolton... I think (Laura Brannigan did it too, right?). I'd hear that song.. and think "someone out there knows more about me than they should". It summed up so well what was happening in my life at that time, and I hadn't talked to anyone about it. Always brought a tear to my eye.

Bolton co-wrote that song originally for Laura Branigan. I remember it well too. It used to make my mother cry, which would make me cry. Two of the other ones by him that still affect me to this day are 'Said I Loved You... But I Lied' and 'From Now On.' Man, no matter what mood I am in, they always make me all weepy. You'd think I would learn to avoid them, lol.

Wild Horses by The Sundays is one of my favorites. Been looking for that one in a karaoke track. I guess it's unavailable.

Coldplay is my favorite band... period! I don't think there's one song by them that doesn't affect me in some way.

My wife had a cousin who was born with various birth defects and medical conditions. They didn't expect her to survive childhood, and she was confined to a motorized wheelchair her entire life. She lived for seventeen years but mentally never made it past about six. She could speak, but with such difficulty that only her parents really understood her. Anyway, though I didn't learn this until after she died, her favorite song was "Sunshine On My Shoulder" and it was played at her funeral. Needless to say you don't play that song around my wife's extended family unless you want to have a room full of people bawling.

As for me, if you guys keep posting those lyrics about daddies and their daughters [sniff] I'll have to punch you in the face [wahhhhh! (blows nose)].

omg I can't believe no one mentioned it how about don't take the girl!??!?!?!?!!? Any Martina song makes me cry, good grief. My Heart will go on before the million and fifty plays. The Faith Hill song from Pearl Harbor. Daddy's Hands. If I'm in the right mood any Alabama love song. I'll probably think of more later
