I remember a few years ago (well ok, more than a 'few') I met some Canadians heh, and when I told them I collected 'foreign money', they introduce me to the 'Loonie' (canadian dollar-coin). I just HAD to have some...
I bought the 'Loonies' for $1/each & they were tickled pink, cause they said that was a better exchange rate than they could get anywhere else. heheh

Alright Charmin.... here I go....
I have a few.... but I guess I'd have to say .... Footloose.. By Kenny Loggins.
Why, you ask??? (well even if ya didn't Im gonna tell ya)... <---sometimes i crack me up ...
Ever been to a Karaoke show.. and almost fallen asleep??? You know... the ones where everyone sings sad songs, or love songs... or slow dance songs. Welllllll..... it happens at our show fairly frequently.... seems one round will seem like absolutely forever.... 'cause everyone decided that was the round for the "slow" one. When that happens... As hostess, I always sing Last in the Round..... I throw in my Footloose slip..... and it has a 16 measure intro.... during which I tell everyone ... Time to get up and get your bodies moving. The music is terrific.... and by the middle of the song... the whole room is dancing. We have even had a few nights where some of our "not so sober" college guys... will try to immitate the scene from the movie.... and go sllllllllllliding across the floor. Its a hoot... and it sure wakes up a room. And... It's also one of the songs I am requested to sing quite often... so I guess I do an "average or better" job with it...
I'll be posting it soon ~~ it was one of the 19 I recorded!!
How's That, Charmin???
Hugs.... Cindy

I have several songs I LIKE to sing. Not for any reason other than I find them fun:
Don't Get Me Wrong - Pretenders
Self Control - Laura Branigan
Gold Dust Woman - Fleetwood Mac
Mouth - Merril Bainbridge
Shiver - Jamie O'Neal
If I Can't Have You - Yvonne Elliman

a five dollar coin is in the works too.... *groan* stupid change... weighs down the purses and pockets! that fricken coin will probably be the size of a fricken hockey puck!! !!
good thing about it tho, is it adds up so damn fast..... kinda forget you have it... next thing you know you have 20 bucks in your pocket and didn't know it. It's especially good if you dump your change into a jar every night! wooooweee! you'll have a roll of toonies (=$50) in NO time!

Whoosh! Now ya know, that's gettin' kind of silly... heheh... I mean 'paper money' is so much easier to handle! (and like you said, doesn't weigh down the purse so much... especially if you have to carry a huge sack like I do). Crystal wrote: babble much?

ya no kiddin' eh? My dad used to hold his hand out and let me pick out all the "silver" money... NOW I'd be LOADED!! !!
Seby... it is pretty big, but not as big as the pic looks... the center of the toonie is about as big as a dime... a quarter would probably be as big around as the outside edge of the letters....

We have these machines called CoinStar. You can take all your loose change (quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies) and dump 'em in the machine. It counts the change, keeps 8.9 cents on the dollar and spits out a receipt you can take to the customer service desk and redeem for cash.
When I lived in Michigan, it seemed I always wound up with Canadian money somehow. I never paid attention to the change when I would get it. I'd just dump it in with the rest of it and cash it in later. However, the CoinStar doesn't like Canadian money. It would send them down in the reject slot. I'd have all these silver coins that would have added up to at least 3 or 4 more dollars if they weren't Canadian. Now I need a Canadian CoinStar machine. They have one of those anywhere?
