Hehe... I AM in my late 20's. In fact, I'm facing the 3rd decade next month. ;)

LOL, Deb. Can you imagine the curse of not only having to admit to the world that you had a procedure like that, yet have to go thru the emotional pain of realizing you are uglier as a result, and becoming a demo as to worse case scenerio's ? WOW :(

Luly, yeah. I saw a special recently on the mid-florida cosmetic place. Nightmare procedures, and people paying for something done not even by the actual physicians :(

As to getting older gracefully, well I'd have no problem with that if each year an increasingly larger percentage of the population wasn't younger than me

OMG, Deb!! This is not the same woman I remember!! Wow...see she should be a poster girl for reasons NOT to have plastic surgery!!

She's really not the same, is she? You should see her on Y&R. She never wears lipstick that would actually give the appearance of lips. She wears some type of gloss that looks exactly like her face. Not to mention the fact they're really thin and pursed to begin with. Of course she is 60-something, but MAN... what was she thinking? If my surgery were that botched, I'd go into hiding.

You could pass for your teens Deb. At least based on your avatar photo.

It's so sad, really. We can never regain our youths. Best thing you can do is keep your spirit young. I have friends in their 80's who have the brightest outlook on life and a song in their hearts. I think being happy keeps you young.

You know what's a great example of this internal inability to find oneself attractive leading to horrendous things ? Michael Jackson. Granted Joe Jackson did a number on his kids by abusing them, and they are disturbed.

Yet Michael was going for what he felt was an attractive look, Liz Taylors look. Do you think Michael looks in the mirror and can see how hideous he actually looks ?

I think the person who goes to the grave with the greatest accumulated happiness hours under their belt won what matters most in life (from a selfish perspective, Being a good person is VERY important too of course)

That's really how I looked... 3 days ago lol.

I just cut all that hair off and changed the color. It was fun! I've been accused of looking late teen/early 20's before. This hair change might solve that though

I thought he was going for the Diana Ross look, lol!

Yeah, that family is pretty wacko. I thought he looked decent before, don't know what he was thinking. Guess it's like an anorexic seeing themselves as fat. Except, he must see himself as looking good instead of the distorted monster he's become.

LOL Deb. I've still never used hair coloring. I haven't had to yet. I'm hoping in five years I have something left to color, Just that alone would be enough

Luly, was it Diana Ross ? I thought he always felt that his friend Liz Taylor was the most beautiful person in the world, and that was the look he was going after. You might be correct. Yet I thought it was Liz

Not to mention the fact he has vitiligo. That skin pigment loss disease? I remember quite fondly the Michael Jackson from the 'Off the Wall' album and videos, particularly 'Rock With You.' I loved him back then. When he went and had all that surgery, I stopped listening to him and lost most of my respect for him. I watched The Jacksons on a VH-1 movie. They had a pretty warped childhood, so it's really no wonder they are the way they are.

I think it's the same principle as anorexia Luly. Yet to even go thru the arduous process of feeling a need to even change ones race ? Skin bleachings, etc. Can you imagine all that is lacking inside ? It's tragic.

WOW Deb, When the wall came out, you must've only been about 5 or 6 tops. I'm suprised you would've liked him at that age. I'm basing this on the thought of when "She's out've my life" came out. I had to buy the album to learn to play it for a vocalist, and that was around 1982. That song really has a gorgeous chorus btw

It is very tragic. I also think he's got waaaaaaayyy tooo much $$$$$. Kinda makes you lose your head sometimes. Did you hear about the guy who won I think it was over 200 million dollars in the lottery. His life has been a disaster since.

Deb, I agree. When I really lost respect for him was with the baby hanging over the balcony incident. God, I feel for those kids.

I was 4, actually ;) And yes, I had quite the diverse musical interests even back then.

I was raised on CCR, The Eagles, Chuck Mangione, Beach Boys, Air Supply and Charlie Daniels. It's not going too far in saying I know ever word, beat and key change to all of their songs.

Luly, Yes, he was in the new just a few weeks ago, His nephews girlfriend was found dead. or something like that. This is the single winner of the largest powerball jackpot I believe you're speaking of.

Funny, I just posted something about an hour ago in the AI board regarding the near 50% of the lottery winners, that don't do well. The percentage noone seems to think about when wishing they were winners instead.

Actually, there was another death, one that touched him very deeply, that of his granddaughter. I remember him, his wife and the granddaughter all being on the Today show after winning. They looked so happy. Now, he's had so many bad things happen I'm sure he's wishing he never bought the ticket. However, some of the things he brought on himself. I understand he was visiting a jiggle joint when a suitcase full of thousands of dollars was stolen from his vehicle, among other unsavory situations he's been caught in. Again, money being the root of the evil here.

You two recall another family of gifted musicians around the early 80's, similiar yet not as big as the Jackson family, Debarge ? They did the song "All my love" REALLY nice song, Also a family plagued with tragedy.
