No --- MOST are not good at all that's what I mean -- so for someone to say then that I'm 'average' on karaoke night freaks me out. The KJ usually is calling out my name tellin me I'd better get back up there when he's already got slips from other people. I'm usually the only one they do that to & not just one KJ in particular does it.

It's kinda funny - there are a couple of bars here that when they schedule karaoke they make a point of letting me know about it (they call me or ask if it works with my schedule ) -- small towns for ya!

I don't mind being 'average' by myself but compared to MOST of the karaoke singers around my area -- that really hurts to be "average" (yep AllStar -- feelin's on the sleeve again )

I actually went to the SS to listen to your last 3 subs, listening to Wild Thing, Gloria and Your Mamma Don't Dance and I think that even though you're not star material, you most certainly are above average, and you are one of the people I would enjoy listening to when going to a karaoke bar.

You folks should really make a concerted effort to eat a healthier diet !

heheh well, if Most of them aren't good, then I would certainly feel comfortable saying that you are an 'above average' singer. Sometimes, I would put you in the category of a 'very good' singer. I think your voice is better than mine, and I am 'good enough' to sing in a band (of course, I've heard some pretty awful bands, so that might not be saying much heheh). I think you even have a good chance of taking home a prize in the contest you plan to enter.

To me, an 'average singer' could not easily win a karaoke contest... it would kind of defeat the purpose of a contest wouldn't it?

Ohhhh pllllllease. When I listen... it is difficult for me to determine good from very good... and perfect (~~ why is that even there?) and close to perfect..... or whatever the heck the 7-10 ratings are.

There is sooooo much variability between suck ~~ and not bad. And then from not bad to You're damn good????? Come oooooon. The area between these two is HUGE ....

I agree that 10 ranks are WAY too many ~~ but if we go to a new system... I surely hope it isn't Suck - not bad - damn good. Talk about narrow.

I tend to agree with whoever said... average singers have Damn good stuff on some days ... and may even suck on another day ... but are usually pretty consistently good-very good. Not Jason, Jazzy, Luly quality ... but consistently putting up some good stuff.
